Quotes - Who said them?

OK.....let's try this....I'll drop a quote, and you tell me the actor who said it and the movie it was in. The first one to post the correct answer gets the honor of being the first one who posts the correct answer. smiley - smiley

Here goes:

"Captain, it is I, Ensign Pulver, and I just threw your stinking palm tree overboard. Now what's all this crud about no movie tonight?"

I know that I should know this, dammit! Ensign Pulver should be the giveaway shouldn't it. This is driving me mad!!!

Oh, by the way, cool idea. So, as I can't answer yours, try one of mine:

"How did he do all those fantastic stunts with such small feet?"

It sounds like it might be a Highlander-type one, but if it is I can't pin it down exactly.

I think you've got me on this one.
I had an idea it was Robert Mitchum in Cape Fear, or the one in which he plays a 'preacher'(the name escapes me).
Or probably not,

Post 13

Duncan

Nope.....not Highlander, and not Cape Fear. smiley - smiley

The one where Robert Mitchum plays a preacher is The Night Of The Hunter. It was on TV the other night.

Still can't get that quote, though.

Here's another as I can't get the one above, but it's probably too easy.
'You tell the men there are four ways of doing things on this ship, the right way, the wrong way, the Navy way, and my way, do things my way, and we'll get along fine.'
Clue: There's a similarity with one of the questions above.

OK, I'm beginning to feel really out of my depth here; I have no idea where either of the two current quotes comes from. The worst part is that I feel I should know both of them. (GIve us a clue Duncan, and another one from you too Austin, please).

So, that being the case, let me throw one into the mix:

"Have you got any 10p's lads? The gentleman needs to make a very important long-distance telephone call. Inter continental."

OK, Gents.....you got me on your's, although the one about the 4 ways to do things sounds familiar.....I know I've seen that movie.

A hint......hmmmmmmmm.......

OK.....a hint: Think man with a metal hat. smiley - smiley

Recap:
1.'Good and Evil' 'Metal hat'
2.'10p's' 'intercontinental'
Aaaargh! I know I've heard them both but just can't place them for the life of me!
I know it, I know it, Don't tell me (yet).

Clue for 'four ways':
This character had an obsession with strawberries.
Aaaaargh!!

Good and Evil. Man with a metal hat. I don't know if its right, but the character that springs to mind is the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz, explaining to Dorothy that there are TWO witches. Can't remember the name of the actor that played him though.

Intercontinental 10ps - think north of the border.
