Well, they ARE declared dead by bystanders, who take one look at them, put a finger against their jugular vein (or thereabouts) for half a second and then shake their heads sadly, declaring the victim dead.
Need I even mention first-aid in the movies?

Yeah. Wait and see...
I personally think that if the next two have the same amount of content as the first movie, a film encompassing all three would have to be at least 6 hours long. And you thought Lord of the Rings was long...

All three LotR-movies are somewhat LONGER than that.
Anyways, we are going a bit off-topic here. But at least, The Lord of the Rings does, for one, not contain very many klichés. A few, but then, it has to be flawed. Perfection makes us insecure...

The thing is LoTR does have clichés in it (good vs bad, good Wizard wearing white, Baddie "spy" in amongst the goodies, etc...) BUT, it is the original source of many of these clichés....

Anyho - the true cliché would actually be Grima Wormtongue. At least the other baddies have format; Grima is just... Worm'ish...

Hitting someone on the back of the head once with the handle of a gun will immediately knock them unconcious for the exact amount of time it takes to search their office/apartment/hotel room.
In the NYPD all uniformed officers have Irish names, all plain clothed officers have Italian names.
The Hero and Heroine when caught in a heavy rainstorm will both be completely dry 30 seconds after getting inside, the Heroines hair and make up will still look perfect.
A bad guy persued by police will always head for the roof, despite the fact that this offers the least chance of escape.
A killer, when confronted with the evidence of his guilt by a detective will always break down and confess, explaining his motive and any particularly baffling loose ends in the story before being catred off to jail.
