A Conversation for They

No, Civil Servants are too public. They can control civil servants though.

They're crafty, aren't They? Wait, no, that should be, "They is crafty, isn't They". Because "They" is a single group. But that sounds wrong. Argh! They got to me!

Gwennie Posted Nov 3, 1999
"They" could be the force behind civil servants.... the thing that makes them incomprehensible to everyone else - especially the way "they" manage to word Government documents!

Irving Washington - Gone Writing Posted Nov 3, 1999
Do they control all governments? A sepcific one? Just the major ones? I mean, are they in control of the US and the UK?
Caution
Gwennie Posted Nov 4, 1999
Yes, I reckon "they" do and they're probably the huge multi-national conglomorates that have fingers in lots of pies as well and under people's beds!

AEndr, The Mad Hatter Posted Nov 4, 1999
no civil servants control THEM as it is civil servants that control all the little things that if are not done the big THEM things can't happen

That's like saying that the employees control the workers. I used to go through 500 page documents page by page to make sure that they had been photocopied correctly before they went from the parralegals' office to the attorney's office, if us summer clerks hadn't been there none of the little stuff that lets the big stuff get done would have been done, but it sure felt like the Attorneys were in charge, not us.

>>That's like saying that the employees control the workers.
What I meant to say there was that it was "like saying the employees controled the boss". What I actually said was completely redundant -- I think that they were controlling my mind!

civil servants actually can prevent things happening, just by using red tape. it is great if it's a poor goevernment.

Irving Washington - Gone Writing Posted Nov 4, 1999
Civil servants only creat red tape when They want red tape. One of the many ways that They control the government.

Anyone used to or still watches "Yes, Minister/Prime Minister"? Sir Humphrey Appleby is the perfect example of what I mean! Then there's Glaxo Welcome and the like.....

when it is on, I watch. I agree.

See! That's exactly what I mean! The civil servants ARE serving Them, which is why "They" lose people in the system. If They think you're onto them, then they lose you and don't let you enter Their service!

Gwennie Posted Nov 8, 1999
There's a lot of people (mostly polititians) that I'd love 'em to lose in "Their" system! I could name names but They may come and get me!

Irving Washington - Gone Writing Posted Nov 8, 1999
most likely the ones you want lost are working for Them...

Didn't you read the article, Greebo? It's all there...

SPINY (aka Ship's Cook) Posted Nov 8, 1999
Listen up! There is hope!
You can go to a party and They'll all be there: a roomful of strangers. You'll want to be one of Them as quickly as possible because They all seem to be having a great time. Fortunately, by the time everyone in the room has drunk enough alcohol, you'll be One of Them. Afterwards you'll tell everyone, " It was great, We all got so pissed."
Your friends, however, won't know who They are.

Yes I read the article... but the really spooky thing is... that you have become the They... You are the THEY that are discussing this subject as in, "They are discussing a subject about THEY and THEM".
I am not sure who to trust anymore... it's really scary!!!!!
