How about a mini-episode guide?
MSL Started conversation May 4, 2001
Now that no new episodes are going to be aired, anytime soon, the videos of the episodes are selling moderately well.
How about including a description, or mini-guide to some of the episodes, so we will know which are the best to watch ('Mitchell', for example) and which to avoid ('Manos: Hands of Fate')?
How about a mention of 'MST3K: The Movie', which featured 'This Island Earth'?

Come on! Manos is a classic! It's one of my favorites! It's very painful, yes ... but still fun to watch ... and Joel in that hand-robe ...

Yes, Manos is a classic, for MST3K fans. However, most novices of the show should NOT watch Manos as one of their first episodes. It is much too painful for many people to handle! Watch the funnier, easier to swallow episodes, first!
And Joel wore a "Feet" robe, not a hand robe.

D-oh! My bad ... I was at work, and not thinking properly when I typed that ...
I think Pod People would be a good start ...
Trumpy! You can do stupid things!

I'm still kind of a newbie in the MST3K world. I never saw it until after it stopped airing, when a friend of mine started loaning me some of his videos (I still have his episode of "Pod People," by the way). The first episode I saw was "Manos: Hands of Fate." So much for saying that it's not a good episode to start with (but then, I am a little weird). I now own the only five episodes that I've been able to find on DVD. I'm tempted to start purchasing the videos, but for now, I'm still holding out, in the hopes that more DVD's will be released.

Hi Arthbard!
I'm sorry I can't give you the URL, but if you go to the SciFi Channel's website, then to the mst3000 area, you might find info on when DVDs will be released.

I watvh the 2 tapes I have constantly: the move and Diabolic. I don't get cable anymore, so those are the only ones I see anymore (Except for the ones they have at the local video rental store) I miss MST3K.....

Fear not, fellow MiSTies! There is a book called the "Amazing Colossal Episode Guide" which details the series' origin thru the Comedy Central Years (Including the Movie). Guides for the remaining seasons can be found at the official MST3K news site: www.mst3kinfo.com (and they're worth looking up). The episode guide is available thru amazon.com, and any other self-respecting bookseller you may know of. Personally, i've got tapes of almost every episode aired during the Sci-Fi Channel years, and plan to copy a vast library of episodes from my roommate/drummer, Torgo...yes, named for the very same Torgo who "takes care of the place while the master is away" in Manos: the Hands of Fate. I personally had the (mis?)fortune of watching Manos in its original form on cable TV long before i was enlightened by the MST3K version, and based on the movies used in that and a couple other episodes i can definitely say that there is an added hilarity to the 'MiSTed' versions if you've been subject to watching these miserable excuses for "film" in their original, insipid forms. Long Live "B" Movies, and those who 'MiST' them!!
