Sorry, generally, if it was 'full on', I'm sorry for that too, it wasn't meant to be,I was just being honest

Hello again everyone. I'm back for a few moments before I go and have another good lie down. I've picked up some fascinating new ailments and I plan to enjoy them on the couch.
As a complete cop-out, I have to say right now that I lack the mental resources and the stamina for a complete summary of this thread. Sorry 'bout that. (I don't rule out doing that job later.) I do note that there's been a wide range of views put forward, which is good. I also see that the basic issues are popping up in other threads onsite, which is fabulous. That is what I wanted, to start discussions.
We appear to have general recognition that trolling is a problem.
We seem to have started towards pinning down exactly what trolling is.
Most important, though, is the recognition that the issue will have to be addressed in noohootoo.
We have the advantage of a new moderation regime in noohootoo. Moderation will be undertaken in context by people who genuinely understand the site, and those people will be all over the site. Patterns of behaviour will be easier to detect and harder to hide. I'm feeling positive about this, in big-picture terms.
Then there's the details of exactly how we can deal with the problem.
The details remain to be sorted out, of course, and that has to be done by the community as a whole. Maybe this will be easier to address after the move when noohootoo is a reality and there's no risk of a discussion on moderation issues being moderated out-of-context by our soon-to-be-former Mods.
There was another point I was going to make but it escapes me at the moment. For want of a better scapegoat I'll blame a mix of paracetemol and codeine.
Ivan.

Good to see you back, Ivan, but don't overdo it. Get some rest and get better

Many of them have absolutely no clue
Remember how many people were shocked to learn that not all priests were nice, well-behaved and chaste?
