Ooh have you seen the screenshots of the new software yet? They're at http://www.digitalspy.co.uk you'll need to click a couple of links but they are clearly marked.
Blerk.
Zymurgy Posted Jul 27, 2003
Nah, I was too busy marking them out of 10. What do you mean sites?
I don't think I've managed to sucker you yet. Hmmpf. Were the police-dogs sniffing your lump-pocket?
Yeah, and it looks like the other number is an existing hootooer. Give us a hand Sherlock.
I'll nick off and look at the screenshots. Is it looking good or bad?

Pad Posted Jul 27, 2003
And how did they compare with you? I guess you've not seen them then, all sectarian stuff.
If you had I wouldn't be able to remember. What?! They all seem to be stood about around me and I was getting very nervous.
Yep, someone who works for the Beeb too. Gimme chance to read the whole thread first.
It looks like the new internet stuff. If you look at the new menu there's a section for TVInternet and it looks like they've lumped email and chat into one. I'm just dreading that with the new software they drop the ability to use HTML in email too.

Zymurgy Posted Jul 27, 2003
Not quite as bizarre, but a lot more insulting. I've not even seen his U-page. UDA and UVF type stuff or Orange Lodge?
And neither would I. Dammit. That. You could have distracted them with a fart.
All the info would be in the moderated posts. There were a couple that've been unsubscribed from too, but I can't find them. Ooh, voyeurs.
I noticed that, does it necessarily mean that they're launching the TV inet? I hope it's not a sign that the yoome email rumour was true.
Blerk.
Pad Posted Jul 27, 2003
Not the kind of stuff you could use on a family site then? He's on her friends list. Orange Lodge, that Michael Whatchamacallim, I only looked at a couple.
So before long it will be 0-0 again. They were too close for comfort, as it was.
Some were modded?
I hope so too. Because their service was terrible and 10 messages at a time. I can't see them developing it if they're gonna drop it can you?

Zymurgy Posted Jul 27, 2003
Only if I removed all the f words. I'll have a dig through. Flatley? Evil man, he's far worse than Paisley. Those spaghetti legs fleeing all over the place...
0-0? What you on about man? They were probably just having a look at your ankles.
Yeah, did you read the journal thread? They'd been talking explicit fantasies and someone yikesed it.
What do you mean 10 messages at a time? They can't introduce pay-per-email without an amendment in the contract, right? Nah, but I can see it being a massive screw-up if they haven't improved from the one they ran the trial with.
Blerk.
Pad Posted Jul 27, 2003
Ooh! They sound good. Do that. Yep, someone should kneecap him.
Y'know, the thingy. That is scary.
I read the first two pages(not all of it). I don't like that skin. They could have yikesed it themselves or have they said otherwise?
Can you remember in Yoome2 how you could only hold 10 messages at a time? Is it two weeks notice they have to give? Me too, this box has been crashing more than ever before on external sites(especially with the Inet app loaded), unless that's just because of BB4.

Zymurgy Posted Jul 27, 2003
Not as good as mine - you bloated misogamist aardvark. I will. Do you think we should start an email rumour campaign? Something like 'Michael Flatley was responsible for Gerry Adams contracting brain worms'?
Nope. Oh beejeesus, 'Chocolate Salty Balls' just popped into my head...
The ww2 skin? The journal was on hootoo. They've said otherwise, they might be victims of a search though.
Oh yeah, I remember now. Did you see the comment on the LD thread, 'activemail account (the one you get when you join LD'? Hmmm, is that the notice for any change to service? Nah, I don't think it's anything to do with that every time I've used it I've ran out of memory after a couple of hours and got booted. Does it log every addy indefinitely?
Blerk.
Pad Posted Jul 28, 2003
Evening Zymurg, how are ya? Been lurking much?
The link you gave was in ww2.
Yep, I saw that. Shows you just how dreggy some are and absolutly clueless to boot.
Does what log every addy? I know it used to crash before but it does it a lot sooner when the interactive apps are running. Like when trying to access email when the Six Nations was on.

Zymurgy Posted Jul 28, 2003
Evening Pisty, I'm good, hows your fine self? Been lurking a lot. It's got beyond the ridiculous in the LD thread, big backlog. What you been up to?
The journal entry was created in hootoo, it should jump back to plain.
Today they've been given a thousand reasons to continue not giving a sh!t. Ooh, I posted. Summarily ignored by all but one.
It seems to be keeping every page visited in memory when I use the Internet tools. Well, that's the only explanation I can come up with, I don't get the normal out of memory box that boots, I get the one I always got when I was going through pages of the library for hours. It reappears every time a request is sent. Correct me, I'm probably wrong.
Blerk.
Pad Posted Jul 28, 2003
I'm good too. Kids are off from school for six weeks. Sorry for the delay, I was ploughing through the backlog you mentioned.
It didn't for me, maybe one ofd them has registered in ww2.
It's got very silly, its a shame that these people are getting in the way of the debate.
I've noticed that the boots in the inet link aren't the same as normal, you can cancel it for a start. It does keep a cookie from every site you visit and those disappear after a reboot. So, far from needing correction.

Zymurgy Posted Jul 28, 2003
You being kept on your toes all day then? They're going back in a couple of weeks up here. Did you get the feeling you were reading the same thing over and over?...until aka turned up anyway.
It should revert to whatever skin is in preferences if the thread's in h2g2. Saying that, I got stuck in goo today.
It's a shame one of them decided that being obnoxious and encouraging the wolfs was the way forward. Teenager though I suppose.
I still get the total freeze memory/txt box too, I get the other when I go back out to email. Strange. Wonder if a refresh function is part of their grand TV internet scheme?
One typo, one grammatical error. Sat was online for an hour after I posted it and said sweet f.a. Will Brian be sticking an oar in? Everyone seems to be, at least you'd actually have something to say.

Pad Posted Jul 28, 2003
Been lurking some hacking sites so its been interesting. Thing is, he got drawn into the arguement.
Not if it's been posted in another site, which is why I presumed it was started in ww2. How did you manage that then?
I think one of them has just started giving out his qualifications.
I get the same box but hitting the blue button seems to get rid of it. It would be a good idea but not one that Telewest would probably think of.
Oops! Did I touch a nerve there? Ah! So that was the reason for the second post. Don't you realise she doesn't want to debate she wants to cause controversy.
I could say something but its got muddy and is bleeding into other threads too.

Zymurgy Posted Jul 28, 2003
Ah, brushing up on the illegality for when you get a PC? Not really, he got drawn into the pattern of having to repeat his point constantly because people weren't even reading his posts. How could they have when they replied a fraction of a second later?
That's what I've been saying, the journal thread I read was an h2g2 thread, it had been posted in the site.
I saw that, 6 HNDs, not a grand claim but well done to him. Even if it was irrelevant. Did you see the rich tories bit?
I was getting two completely different ones, one booted one didn't. Any idea why some addys still give a protocol error? Don't they have IT experts consulting?
Nah, two was pretty good considering I pulled an all-nighter. Yup, I didn't expect her to grab the shovel and dig, would've been fun if she had though. Don't forget the pithy remarks bonus she's after.
Ooh, which other threads? I'd quite like for there to be a reasoned debate on it, but that would require barring most of the people the discussion is about. How did you think frog handled it?

Pad Posted Jul 28, 2003
Do you want some links they might come in handy for when you get cut. I suppose ignorance is bliss. And downright rude too.
I did and I was going to say something to Bouncy about it too. Bloody Brian!
Maybe it's the new software they're phasing in. The protocl error seems to be when you're using the mailto: tags and the digibox doesn't have access to POP. Does the google link still do it? Experts at Telewest?! Too much cake dear.
Its amazing the whole web and you stay in hootoo. It must be you, I've got a reply from her everytime I've posted.
The "txtspk" thread, you've seen it haven't you? I don't see the need for a debate, they need to accept the site for the way it is and adjust their behaviour and if they refuse to do so then they should have the book thrown at them.
*gets off soapbox*
He started off badly and got steadily worse, as usual.

Zymurgy Posted Jul 28, 2003
Oh shit. I've only got til Friday midnight. Why the hell were they there anyway? They can't both still think that every thread is an open topicless chat-stream surely?
There are no class barriers? I love that one.
I got both way back when I first tried the Internet tools. Nah, google is fine, Yahoo search still gives a protocol error unless you go into advanced though.
Oooh, have you checked out rotten.com (guaranteed to be yikesed if linked and seen)? True, I'm just such an intimidating presence, Mr Congeniality.
Yeah, that turned into LD bashing by page two. Some of them need to be made aware of what the site actually is, if they still act like twats then abolish them to hell! "gets off drugs"
LDers integrate, but the ones that are his biggest customers don't. He's having a hard time skirting the herding issue.

Pad Posted Jul 28, 2003
Better have a look at Google, try "Hack Telewest", second or third link down. Because they were phoned up and encouraged to join in. Have you seen something, ANYTHING that suggests otherwise?
Brian does too, his favourite songsheet.
Yep it's been around a while, you'll get it if you click on the email addy on my other page. Strange that, cos Yahoo worked fine yesterday when I was using it.
I think I've got that one in email, is it the corpses one?
That was the original idea behind the bar though, wasn't it? It doesn't work it just extends the length of time they are twats.
You have drugs?
Well that would mean accepting that his Beloved have a significant part in the extension behaviour.

Zymurgy Posted Jul 28, 2003
It's possible to hack with a didibox? Is an axe required? I've heard that mentioned a few times, passing gathering locations by phone. I certainly think less of Bob than I used to. Err...no, I haven't. They've been here for months now, they must have clicked on some links. Must have.
How does the song go? Something about a rubber-tree plant...
Yahoo is fine, just when a search term is submitted from a particular page. Nah, not just that. Try to find 'F**k of the month', some hilarious and disturbing stuff.
And the whole set-up allows them to find fellow twats and form nice cliques to support the twattyness. Lovely. Nah, well, caffeine. Do you puff during the summer hols?
That's not going to happen unless the verdict comes from a pisa.
Blerk.
Pad Posted Jul 28, 2003
A didibox? Well you are here aren't ya? That's hacking with a digibox. I think the site refers to the digibox itself being hacked though. Which, I hasten to add, is illegal.
I thought less of him when he started posting about the "cat's", I thought he had more about him than that. He hasn't though, he's only on every now and again but is she really such a fuckwit?
Don't start.
Even I haven't searched for that phraseology. Ol' MAC there.
Shame really, it used to be quite fun. Then the yoome2ers started coming in. Enjoy your caffeine then. I do on occasion but weekends mainly.
I think you got the official pisan statement earlier in the thread. Can they go around tearing all the bars down because some have cliques in them that no-one else gets?
Key: Complain about this post
