The toilets over here are *weird*, ER! They're all big and full of water and stuff - it's all backwards!! The best are the ones at Toys R Us in New York, which flush automatically!
I have a cunning plan.....
Lady Scott Posted Nov 21, 2003
They're not exclusive to Toys R Us in NYC - we have self-flushing toilets in other places, too.
Have you come across any automatic faucets on the sinks in public rest rooms, yet? They turn on as soon as you put your hands under them, and turn off as soon as you take your hands away (certainly a far cry better than the ones where you have to hold the control down with one hand while you "wash" the other hand. )
Then there's the automatic hand dryers, which work on the same principal as the automatic sinks and toilets... electric eyes, everywhere... Big Brother really *is* watching you!

Yeah, we've got them in Australia too - we have an automatic tap at the cafe I work at...we spend so long standing in front of it waving our hands in frustration at the sensor - it's almost quicker to go and find a proper tap!
I have a cunning plan.....
Lady Scott Posted Nov 21, 2003
Sounds like the sensor just needs to be adjusted a bit...
They had automatic taps at the office of Shorty+'s orthodontist, and some of the taps you could get to come on easily, some you had to wave at frantically, with your hands practically right next to the sensor, and others you could walk through the other part of the room and they would come on...

I've found that most of the big retail chains have gone to toilet sensors in their bathrooms. And of course many of them never work the way they're supposed to. It's quite a jolt when you're sitting there and the toilet flushes for no apparent reason!

I have experience the US toilet before. Apparently, from what I'm reliably informed in these parts, they use enough water to flush a Volvo. We must give them credit for, at the very least, finding something useful to do with Volvos.

BTW, in the itinerary I outlined in post #1 we have now reversed the order of Salt Lake City and Las Vegas because we've been invited to a birthday party on June 4 in SLC.

Well, since I assume San Fran'll be at about the same time no matter what... But I'll direct Marv's attention this way if I catch him before he sees...
Go ahead and fiddle with the itinerary all you want Just give me at least a couple days for housew*rk. Heck, I might even *dust*

I hate those "automatic" flushing toilets! They usually flush when I'm seated, but when I get up, they stay strangly quiet.
I have a cunning plan.....
Lady Scott Posted Nov 22, 2003
Most strangulations are quiet....
I had no idea toilets were capable of such violent activity though!

I saw several of his original costumes over the weekend at the Rock Hall. Elvis was *not* a little man. He was tall and big ... his clothes seemed gigantic!!! And I'm not talking about when he had gained weight neither.
David Bowie, on the other hand, is unbelievably dinky.
