I am probably the only person in the Western Hemisphere who didn't "get" Twin Peaks....

I never saw a single episode
A friend of mine is planning to get '24' on DVD and watch it in one sitting. He says that by the end of it it should be twitchy enough to appreciate what the characters are going through. I term it 'Method Viewing'

You'd need it.

I was going to ask if that was the one with David Duchovny and Michael T Weiss, but I see that Duchovny only had a couple of guest appearances, and Weiss was in the 'Dark Shadows' remake. Don't know why I always get those two mixed up (other than they were both very popular and on at the same time).
I guess it was Dark Shadows that I used to watch, I don't think I ever saw Twin Peaks. So I should put this on my list of 'things to see' sometime?

I never saw Twin Peaks either, I'm afraid.
The marathons are fun, though. Did you see the Good Eats marathon a few weeks back?

On the Food Network. Alton Brown. 30 minute shows where he explains the science behind cooking....sort of. They're quite entertaining.

You're a Good Eats fan Hypatia? Alton Brown is considered a god at Goshotowers
And I'm surprised that so many people haven't seen Twin Peaks

...and me. I wish I had, though. I think it was originally shown during my years of abstinence from TV ownership.

I'm absolutely gobsmacked that so many of you have not seen David Lynch's most well known, perhaps his signature piece of work

I must get around to watching it, although I've never noticed it available on DVD (not that I've looked especially).

I don't know if this is true of the UK Twin Peaks DVD release, but in the US only the first season has been put out on DVD, and in the box set you don't get the first episode You have to buy it seperately, and the second season has yet to be released

I saw "Twin Peaks," though I missed a few of the later episodes. I think I saw the final one, though. The owner of the sawmill was possessed by the spirit of an extraterrestrial, who made him commit murder. I don't know if the log lady figured that out in time.
