hurrah, hurrah...
(what does it smell of?)
food would be nice, even if I can only afford pudding. Could get a curry maybe and loiter in town menacing the populace in a scary internet way.

The Figure of Eight? Er... it doesn't smell pleasant.
You don't want to know what one bloke reckoned it smelled of when I commented in there one time. Personally I think it's a mixture of BO and urine. I think the beer's cheap because they don't employ cleaners...

Definitely less vague than it was - not gonna be at the Weatherspoons, the figure of 8, or a fictional pub called the Victoria... estimating (completely randomly without more thought than is possible to type these parenthesis) thats 3 pubs out of around ... 1000 in the entirety of brum that the meets not going to be at.... so thats 0.3 percent more definite than the plan last time I checked...
If anyone has a spare bit of floor about 6 foot long by 2 foot wide, I wouldnt mind crashing someplace in my most lovely sleeping bag

BobTheFarmer Posted Nov 1, 2002
Hopes for a bit of floor too...
I can only reciprocate if someone arranges a Bristol meet...

Z Posted Nov 1, 2002
Erm I have plenty of floor, usually on a Saturday it's filled with my housemate's friends. So I'm due to invite some people back! as long as you bring a sleeping bag we should be fine.

Got a horrible feeling that it's not being planned for then, as people who are coming *home* to Brum seem to have go in first. Bit of a bugger, but there you go.
Anyone, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Mu Beta Posted Nov 4, 2002

I live in Cov. I can make practically ant time as long as it isn't a Wednesay, Thursday, Friday of Saturday. come to that, Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays aren't that good either.
But I can make room for a special occasion.

Weekends are the usual time as most people can make that better. Though, that being said...

Hello fellow Brummie
zendevil Posted Nov 5, 2002
Here's yet another coincidental Brummie, but this one lives in France now! I'm also a DEFINITE NEWBIE (about 20 minutes ago) so may be time to put your ACE hat on! This is only my 2nd message, so hope I'm doing it right. Also sent one to "loup d'argent" since he seems to be French.
Tara a bit, Terri.
Hello fellow Brummie

Well done, for a second post you've already worked out who the ACE's are which took me a bit longer, Welcome to h2g2, and how are you doing so far, any questions feel free to ask me, I'll try to answer them. So how are you finding France compared to Birmingham?
