Yes, my friend keeps making a point of saying that even though I'm wanting to go to Duncan of Jordanstone University to study art that it's a college because it's counted as an art school...or something like that.
the idiot thinks that art isn't a worth while subject
think may kill him next time he brings it up

nah, don't kill him - just show him your work
sorry 'bout that , couldn't resist
does it really matter what they call a school, a college, a uni? in the end we will all be fertilizing daffodils anyway, so who cares? the only thing that counts is that you are happy with what you do while you are here. and if others like it too, so much the better.

Lady Scott, I have mixed feelings about
the book sale, hence the
smileys. There are book-dealers camped
out on our front step hours before we
open, so they can get in first and scoop
up anything valuable. Then, when the sale
gets going, the staff has to plow through
hordes of shoppers to get to the bathroom
and the staff room.

It matters to some people, fact is as long as you're happy in the higher eductation method you've chosen then it doesn't really matter

You have a point, Pierce .
Since we'll all be fertilizing daffodils,
daisies, and other plats someday, the artist
has the last laugh. Paintings of flowers can
be worth fifty million dollars or more if they
were painted by the *right* artists. (The artists
themselves don't benefit from this, as they are
usually quite dead themselves.) I think Michelangelo
ended up quite rich, but he never used his new,
spic-and-span workshop, preferring to stay in his
old, grungy one where he was more comfortable.

ALthough a lot of artists don't make a name for themselves until they are fertilising the daffodils themself
