[Link takes off the Keaton Mask and puts it away. He then puts on the Deku Mask again]
[Navi] {You sure this is a good idea?}
[Deku-Link] 'Course not. [puts a deku-nut in his own nose]
[Navi] {Why not the bubbles?}
[Deku-Link] They don't bounce.

Hi. Lookit this. Our "Mike's Evilware" forum is back. You seen MaW lately? Someone should tell him.

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Jun 27, 2001
I've seen him lately. He and several dozen penguins have made themselves a sand palace at the Beach.

MaW Posted Jun 27, 2001
And a very nice palace it is too. Hello Jade, nice to see you again!

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Jun 27, 2001
Well, we're all back together now! What were we doing before and why?

Jedi Jade and her daemon Thras AKA Dr. Amelia T. "Bermuda" Rangel Posted Jun 27, 2001
We went to Mike's Evilware because we all needed some new clothes. Shall we start that bit over again? It /was/ getting so good...

Nah, no thanks, I'm sane enough as it is.
I've recently completed Chrono Trigger, Miss Sensei!
Speaking of which, in the Playstation remake (Final Fantasy Chronicles, which also has a PSX remake of FF4), there's one ending where it shows Chrono and Marle/Nadia getting married! And then it cuts to Ayla giving Kino a ring (and another for him to give to her), and the cavemen cheering. I think we ALL saw that one coming.

Right on! You completed Chrono Trigger! How did you like it?
...and I'm getting Final Fantasy Chronicals when it comes out over here... That's like July 11th or something. I've probably got the date wrong though...

It's one of the best SNES games ... or at least it's one of the SNES games made by Squaresoft, which amounts to the same thing.
They've fully redone the script of FF4, which needed it very badly. There was even a ninja in the original whose battle cry was, "ACHOOO!" Words can't BEGIN to describe how badly this game was translated! ("Underwater waterway is northeast of Kaipo. But eight big Sea Snakes are blocking the way!" "They are all outstanding combatants! I ask them to take the forefront!") Fortunately, in the new version, they are keeping the line, "You spoony bard!"

Oh, and at the end, there was a line that was actually pretty good until the last word: "... I ... will ... not ... perish ... as ... long ... as ... there ... is ... evil ... in ... the ... hearts ... of ... people ... puff ..." Come to think of it, that line had a few too many ellipses.

Oh they always do that. Remember the sequence in Secret of Mana when the hero finds out that the Mana tree is his mother? That's got loads of the things in it.
Ick.
Still, good game. Best SNES game I've ever played - the only other one that comes close and isn't another Squaresoft title is Yoshi's Island, which rocks. And Squaresoft are developing on GameCube! Woohoo!
Oh yes, in FF9, did they abandon turn-based combat? I hated FF7's combat system and I've not played FF8...

Hey, I haven't got a Playstation, and when we had our Computer Guru put together this computer that I'm typing at, we forgot to ask him for a 3D card, ruling /that/ idea out.
This means I don't /want/ it in no way whatsoever.

I wanted a say..>!
But then, I also have a job. So there we are then.
Sorry, no, I haven't played ff8, my favourite recent Square game is Chrono cross, and beyond that, erm, we're going to see "The Spirits Within" as characters from the ff games.
(I'm going as Yuna from ff10, my friend Rick is going as a White Seed, and my friend Richard is going as Squall.

And unfortunately looking at the PlayStation packages for FF9 doesn't tell me what I want to know. Ah well, it's not available on the PC anyway - or if it is, nobody's got it here.
