Sarah in full effect

Sup homies? It's Sarah in the hizouse. ^_^

Anyway, all kidding aside. The semester is finally over, which means I can breathe again. I was sure that I would fail my Computational Astrophysics class due to lack of attendance and lack of turning in my homework. I got a B- which is a gift, but one I will gladly accept.

Transsexuality! I normally don't like to use exclamation points, but that word seems to need it.

I've been going to the Persad center in Pittsburgh for therapy. They are a non profit organization who help "gender minorities." I qualify, and because I'm a poor student, they don't charge me much. If I ever make the big bucks, I know which charity I'm supporting.

Long story short the therapy is helping, and I think I'm on the way to hormones. Thanks Dr. Asante.

My transformation to Sarah has sort of been on hiatus for the semester pending the time and money necessary to leave my apartment as Sarah for the first time. Still growing my hair, and I'm going to tell my stylist about my plans in the next week or so.

My new roomate has moved in, and I will be updating this site with links to his impressive artwork soon. Never mind the fact that he is a saint for living with someone like me.

Ooooog. Must find a job. I have an offer for some freelance writing work that I will take. Someone liked the article I wrote for ChickClick. Haven't seen the article? The link is coming soon!

Well I have some free time on my hands now, and I will be updating more often. Have fun ^_^

the time has come

This tuesday I will take an entire day and go to Pittsburgh with the hopes of finally getting on track for hormones.

More updates as I live them.

The ups and downs of life

Tuesday, I was depressed. Yesterday, I feel good. Today, I'm depressed.

Yeesh!

Coping with life is no easy task as I imagine you all are well aware of.

I have been calling therapists that specialize in gender issues for about a month now. Finally, one of them calls back, and my roommate doesn't wake me up. The caller said he would call me back on Monday. (That should have been my roommate's hint to wake me)

I guess that's affecting me. I hate having near misses with the chance to get on with my life.

heh... looks like my big announcement has gone unnoticed

Since I came out on this page I have seen a total of one reply. Thanks monsy ^_^.

I guess no one really cares. It kind of make me glad. Maybe I will be able to be myself one day, and no one will care whether or not I was born with a penis. That's a bit of a stretch, I know, but any proof that people won't hate me for who I am is welcome.

The last 2 weeks has been full of stress for me. It all started with my best friend telling me that she never wants to talk to me again. Actually I really should be saying my former best friend by now (God I overestimated her). Actually she had turned her back on me a month or so before, but just chose to stick her head in the sand rather than tell me what was going on. In a way it relieved some stress, but quite a few self-esteem issues crept in and more than made up for it. It's a much longer story, but I'll stop talking about here. I'll just say that it was one of the more painful moments in my life.

Since then my life has gotten more difficult by a factor of 4. I just can't seem to win lately.

Oh well, at least school is going OK. ^_^
