What have we learned here?

This semester has taught me a few things.

First and foremost is that you can't lie to yourself forever. I feel fortunate to learn that by age 21. It seems that some people never learn. They keep their feelings from themselves time after time. Sooner or later they come exploding out and cause pain and greif that should have been prevented. Then they go and start right over. I am refusing to keep secrets from myself anymore.

Second, there are times when school just isn't the most important thing. I will probably poorly this semester, but I don't feel bad about it. I have other problems that have to be taken care of first. Having one bad semester does not make me stupid.

Lastly, the guide editors love me! smiley - smiley Look! I have 4 of my user pages accepted already and 4 more in the queue. Go me! Go me! Get funky! Go me!

Heh this is cool

I've hijacked a computer in a lecture hall to write this entry. Right now these letters are about 6 inches high on a huge screen. I'm cool.

long time, no write

Well I see that a couple of my user pages are being groomed for inclusion as official guide entries. I'm a little upset that so much of my text has been changed by the editors, but that's the way it goes.

What I can't stand is the number of run-on sentences in these entries. I pride myself on having good grammar, and there are a good many mistakes in these entries credited to me (Cow Patty Bingo in particular. It barely resembles my original user page). I wish I could edit them one last time, but the system won't let me.

Let's see. Otherwise my life is going about as strangely as could possibly be expected. It is going so strangely, in fact, that I can't write any more about it here. Some of my friends know of this page, and I'm not ready to speak to them about this yet.

Of course, this is killing my motivation to do homework. I'm doing very poorly in classes. Fortunately, I hit rock bottom about a month ago, and have been on the upswing.

Anyway, I'm sure I will have more visitors to my site soon. So welcome newcomers. I should be updating again.

Monday the 13th

I have always thought of Monday the 13th as a lucky day, and so far it hasn't dissapointed. My word defenestrate was chosen as word of the day.

So what have I been doing recently?

Saturday I bought SuSE Linux 6.2 with the intent of putting it on my computer, but I'll have to wait until I read the installation manual to do it. That thing is a phone book.

Studies are going poorly so far. My aversion to any species of work, especially homework, has promped me to fall behind in my classes, and is is only two and a half weeks into the semester.

That's all for now. Now go away, or I will taunt you a second time.

Well, I'm still around

For anyone who actually comes around and sees if I have written anything, I'm sorry I haven't been updating much. Classes have come, and I have less time to be creative. smiley - smiley

I hope to post more often.
