I know someone with a cat with one eye. Is that what you're looking for? *produces a box of doughnuts to share*

I used to have a puddy tat, she was 15 when I had to put her down, didn't help when I was dealing with coming out and that. As if my life wasn't depressing enough. So I just want to make it known that I do love cats.

awww...we know you love kitty cats if you didn't then you would not be so fond of testing their endurance and attempting to make them better or find out how they tick ....
i had a fantastic kitty once, he was the best cat i ever saw, very smart, got sick and was dieing so to keep him from suffering too much i agreed to have him 'put to sleep' i insisted on holding him while the vet gave him the shot....he looked so peaceful....damn!! still makes me cry
ok, must go find something to chear me back up again.....

*Offers Monsy a hanky* I know how you feel.... I've had nine cats die on me over the past 20 years and only one of those was from old age..... That's the trouble with cats - you can't keep 'em caged up as our Greebo will tell you - and they get into all sorts of trouble. Especially trouble if the shape of cars...
Still, I have five absolute darlings at the moment and although it's difficult to say whether one is a favourite, I think probably Oscar who is an embodiment of the Victor Meldrew character from "One Foot in the Grave"!!!
Next Wednesday, we're expecting a new addition to our mad house/menagerie in the form of a puppy called Kim - she's a bitza (bits of this and bits of that). The kids are really excited!!

~Greebo sniffs a little~... My bestest chum was a dog called Oscar... he became very ill and went to pet heaven... the vet man said it was for the best... ~A single tear rolls down Greebo's furry cheek~... Me loved Oscar.. me still misses him... lots and lots...
~Greebo sits and thinks of her bestest chum... looking very sad...~
It is good that me can remember him... he is always with me... ~watery grin~... Memories are good...

A change had come over the people standing in the middle of the laboratory. Some of them hadn't spoken for a while, but that was okay,
since the president didn't have much to say either. He had been quite surprised when the woman they call monsy had come and stroked his hair, because he still hadn't figured out what they needed him for. Maybe they needed him to stroke his hair, he thought. They definitely couldn't have needed him to purr, because he couldn't, and there was at least one cat in the laboratory that could. There were also a lot of other cats, but many of them were long dead, and they were only there in various memories. They were no danger to the Anonymous Mouse that was watching him. He went back to the teddy pig and looked about to see where the other eye had gone.

Yes, I agree with you there Monsy & Greebo - memories are good and the best way to compliment and celebrate the time spent together with "departed" pets/friends/family...
I've been trying to explain this to my 12 year old daughter, Mair who is still sleeping with Jasper cat's photogaph since he was run over and killed last September. She still cries... I've never seen her so upset
I'm really hoping that this puppy, Kim will help. (Kim is also the name of my old collie cross who died at 17 years old a couple of year's back...)
*Gwennie notices an object on the floor, bends down and picks it up*
This looks as though this may be what you're looking for President type person...

Off to one side was a mirror.
*Hmmm ... I like mirrors.*
One of the mirrors started rippling, as of water which someone has dropped a stone in. Through it stepped a tall, youngish man with hair that seemed disarrayed, yet stylish. He was wearing a blue jumpsuit. He wore around his neck a medallion showing a yellow circle, a black plus sign, and in the upper-right and lower-left quadrants, a white circle; in the upper-left and lower-right quadrants, a black circle. His shirt and belt buckle shared this. His name is Aerol Nex.
He said, "Greetings."

UYeah mmeories are good. This is the longest I have been with out a pet, and sometimes I really miss it. My cat went through so much, she got bitten by a taipan snake (very poisonious), some prick dunked her in petrol twice, she had a fast growing tumor on her back, but the reason for putting her down was that dad hit her with the car whil putting the car away. The vet said there was no damage but we found out she had a heart murmour, and so I had to decide to put her down

Gwennie Posted Mar 5, 2000
Gosh! It really sounds as though your moggie went through it and used up all her "nine" lives. Poor thing! I bet your dad feels bad about hitting her with the car.

"Hello," said Aerol, slightly surprised. This was the first time no one had seemed to notice him. Of course, to be fair, this was the second time he had visited the H2G2.

There had to come an end to all this wandering, the president thought as he looked up to see what the woman they called Gwennie had in her hand. She had called him a president type person, which to him was both funny and obviously accurate. But whatever type of person he was, his wandering and wondering seemed to attract more attention than he thought good for him. He didn't mind, not that, but he had not minded it either when they were busy with the lost cat, or the evil people in the cage, or the cats that had died and were still here in memory. Now there was somebody new here. Maybe that was why he was still here.
