Best remedy I know against icy feet in the morning, a sweet, high calorie dessert of some kind just before bed, the night before.

Of course a nomex sleeping cap to protect your hair, it also helps to sleep with one's head rathet than feet toward the fire.

Both tricks really help!

Its apparently getting chilly in Texas too.

On a cold night outside, or in a tent, or in a log building I tend to use a cot, sleeping bag and a pair of wool blankets. When the cold settles in I put my head under the blankets, if it get really bad I pull up the sleeping bag over my head. Nothing helps that moment when you have to get up and pee

It is even worse after dawn when others are about and you have to trot down to the facilities.

It's not chilly in Texas, it's just seasonal for a change. Seriously, I've been wearing short sleeves and shorts most of this winter.
