Hello multitudinous new church members. Glad to see that we are getting back to the true purpose of the CotTW ie. weevil spotting and being nice to weevils. I like 'Mexican Hairless Weevil'. I am beginning to feel a definite affinity with this particular variety.
What I deplore is the acronym NO'T. It sounds like a government issue licence. Boswell cringes every time he sees this abomination. Can't we have an edict against this sort of thing, or would that be too silly? Or too sensible?

probably a little of both... but if N'OT really hates it, i'll stop using it...

Really, just 'Nick' is fine (same number of characters as NO'T).
"NO'T" doesn't really bother me. Just don't call me late for dinner.

I think I may have discovered a new variation of the weevil. I's a rather loud bugger....

Oh no! Surely he hasn't been aurally assaulted by a band of Tijuana Trumpet Weevils? (Apologies if I've erred in the spelling) The little devils are always turning up at parties. You haven't lived until you've heard them play Wanderin' Hedgehog Blues.

Then I guess I haven'tlived yet.
This one's not musical at all. It's the North American Screeching Weevil. It acts pretty much like a rooster...sounding off the sunrise.

I believe I've also encountered a member of a long lost species of weevils... It was in the Dark Gothic Mansion and everyone thought it was a rat... But it was in fact an Ancient Giant Weevil...

Nick O`Teen Posted May 22, 2000
Alien, I need to know what region to which the Ancient Giant Weevil is indigenous. Where's it from?

Alien Posted May 23, 2000
I've done some research and I'm pretty sure the complete name is "Ancient Egyptian Giant Weevil"...

is that at all related to the aztec mega weevil?

Have we been associating a little too much with the Punic Running Weevil?

We should have a separate forum for weevil-spotting. This forum is (was?) supposed to be for membership applications. How about starting a new thread on the church page?
Cracking bit of weevil-spotting, though, folks.

*knocks thunderously on church door*
Helloooo!!!!!
*knocks again*
I want to be in the Church of the True Weevil! Helloooo!!!!
Since time immemorial have I spoken in the dreams of man, and weevils now may hear my call, though they hear nothing of evil. Might that I then be known as the Speaker in Dreams of Weevils, for man- or weevil- kind.
Cthulhu fhtagn.

"I want to be a tree"
No, hang on, that wasn't it.
"I want to be in the Church of the True Weevil"
I'm a big fan of weevils. I'd like to be the official 'Counsellor of Confused Weevils' if I may.
Thanks

Suddenly there are so many new people wanting to join the church... So soon after the St. Weevil's Day... I hope the weevils didn't get too carried away with the celebrations...
Now I speak for myself when I say: Welcome both of you!
You'll have to wait for the Weevil-Meister to officially approve you...
*wonders what's wrong with being a tree*

Welcome to the church, Cthulhu and Peregrin. Hope you enjoy yourselves here. We may all be clinically insane, but we know a good holiday when we see it.
It's a bit of a shame that you didn't join last week, as St Weevil's day was on August 12 and it was a rip-roarin' hoot, apparently. You can read about St Weevil's day here: http://www.h2g2.com/A269958 and the church page is located here: http://www.h2g2.com/A226450
