DREAM and pain modulation
Posted Mar 11, 2005
I am pain, I am the wound that never heals - Ayreon
I love that song
DREAM is a transcriptional repressor for pain modulation apparently. I prefer to think that the research paper on this subject is causing more pain than it has relieved ...
...never mind, I'm going to go out and modulate my pain with some alcohol later - wooohoooo!

Too much to reflect upon
Posted Jan 27, 2005
I would write everything that has happened in the last few weeks here...but it'd take faaar too long.
Briefly though
- good Christmas and New Year
- came back to France despite debating about it and glad I did
- exams
- been visited by 2 exflatmates (went galavanting, sledging, drinking, eating) and my parents too (not at the same time)
- got the key to the door (21st)
- have only missed 1 lecture so far this semester
- excercise!
- work here going OK an interesting too
- prospect of Patrick visiting in Feb
- accommodation York05/06 nearly sorted (4 of us)
There's more...and it's been highly intertwined with personal defeats and mess too...but it's all OK for the time being!
Hugs to all

Sympathy averted

*You do it to yourself you do,
And that's what really hurts,
You don't get my sympathy hanging out the 15th floor...*

Leccie annulé
Posted Nov 2, 2004
Grr, after the effort of vowing not to miss any more lectures, the lecturer didn't even turn up to the first one this side of the mid semester break...someone is trying to tell me something(?)
