So sorry to hear about the death of a friend. I only knew him through this medium but we have exchanged opinions, in the past. My condolences are extended to Fatima and his family.

A senseless waste

Only just picked up on this. I know you will be utterly devastated by the news Bel I only knew PBS by his writings which were usually incisive, often pithy, but always readable. He will be greatly missed on hootoo.

I've started writing a tribute. It is slow work, and I can only just scratch the surface.

Ah, that's unexpected and saddening news. I didn't know PBS well, but I knew him enought to know I'll miss him being around.

Deeply saddened by this tragic news B'El I also only met Pedantic through this medium; although we also exchanged e-mails and photographs. Strangely, although I have not been around on here much of late, I had been thinking of Pedantic a great deal during the past week for no apparent reason. He will certainly be very sadly missed - a great 'friend'

He certainly was. I'm only glad that hootoo has no lack of remarkably kind and bright people, and I'm lucky to know a lot of them.
