Thánk you. smiley - smooch

I'll soon be heading off to get the keys.

As there is no way to move the furniture without using the car, I'll have to go and unload all the model airplanes and stuff which I bet are in there at the moment.

Latest news about the car: the husband has now talked to a friend (I think he's a mechanic), who told him that there was no danger for the motor as long as there is enough oil in the car. smiley - puff

Surprise: the car is empty. smiley - magic

That's a huge relief, cause some of the model airplanes equipment is quite heavy (the 'starter box').
So I have about 15 minutes before I mudt leave.

I got the keys now. smiley - somersault

It's a nice flat, and there is kitchen furniture, which is great. Washing machine is ordered and is said to arrive on Friday. smiley - magic

I went to do the shopping after I had got the keys, and on my way back I stopped there and 'delivered' some things so that the boys have a bit to start with: coffee powder, coffee filters, toilet paper, scissors, milk, joghurt, cocoa powder, cereals.
I'll have to raid my kitchen later, for a few things like plates, glasses, mugs, cutlery, pots and pans.

This is quite exciting, actually. smiley - boing

I'll ask son #2 to help with the bed once he's back from school. I hope he'll not refuse to help.

It will be a steep learning curve, I guess. I'm not worried, though, we all managed when we moved out for the first time. smiley - smiley

The most dreadful bit was the realisation that you have to think of something to cook for dinner *every single day*.

They're fine off in that regard: son's friend works in a pizzeria, and son works in a 'Hort', so they both get lunch and can take the left-overs home.

So, the bed is in the new flat. Son #2 was so nice not only to help me get it there, but assembled it, too. He did point out that it wasn't for his brother he was doing this, but for me. I told him that was fine by me. smiley - biggrin

We had Swabian pockets. Cooked by son #2.

I was knocked out and went for a nap at shortly past 7.00pm. smiley - senior

What's a Swabian pocket?

I had Currywurst, and let the wee woman in the shop cook for me instead. Much better than the last one. smiley - drool

Generally when first leaving home, the procedure is to bludgeon one's stomach with pasta until you reach the stage where you can't eat a piece for the following ten years. smiley - biggrin
