I'm still a bit new here myself & I'm just popping in on a few of the recent arrivals. You know, to say 'hello','welcome aboard', & offer you a along with a slice of ...perhaps some if you'd prefer.
I see you've already been visited by an ACE, so I'll just mention that you can either drop by my space, by clicking on my underlined nickname (above), or you can just click the 'Reply' button below. In any case, welcome once again, I hope you'll become as fond of the place as I have.
Oh, I was going to mention that I'm also interested in live music (I mention my major source thereof, on my page/space). A summer favourite of mine, that combines both live music & a festival atmosphere is our annual Folk Music festival(@) http://www.edmontonfolkfest.org/ . And of course, there're a few other local festivals I'd be glad to discuss, if you'd like sometime. Hope to be seeing you around, so to speak, fairly soon, ok. TTFN *waves*
Hi you
Meg Posted Apr 9, 2003
Thanks for the warm welcome. It's nice to think I can communicate with people whilst I'm at work on night duty. I don't get near the computer at home as my partner is a computer programmer and is never of the machine! I'll check out the folk festival link sometime but can't do it at work as we only have acess to the BBC site. I'm into all kinds of music including folk, country, classical and chart stuff except loud rap noise. Having said that I went to a Monsters of the stone age gig last year which I really enjoyed - despite being one of the oldest there.See you,
Meg.

Good to hear from you meg. I actually enjoy a fair bit of music too...currently, its largely Jazz & Blues, although I do manage to get a few other types in here & there. Nice to know I ocassionally have someone to share my insomnia with .
Hi you
Meg Posted Apr 9, 2003
I'm here every Tuesday night from 10pm to 7am if you'd like to chat. I'm not available between 01:30 and 02:30 as this is usually my lunchtime. It really is a topsy-turvy life here in nightshift land.

Wrll, thats not a big problem meg. The different time zones don't help either. I believe seven hours difference.
Hi you

I'm Back from lunch now. Should be doing some work but having a rather quiet night . Are you in america somewhere with that time difference? It's currently 03:30hrs here in the UK.

Hi you

Not bad. Usual canteen food I'm afraid. Not as good as my home cooking. I've not visited Canada yet but will one day, it seems pretty cool.

Yes, we're easing into spring right now...unfortunately rather slowly.

Do you get a lot of snow? We rarely see snow where I live in the south of England. My son, who's six has never seen snow .
