Hi you

Definitely enjoying the warmer weather...was walking in a 3 k fund-raiser on Sat. morning, under cloudless skies.
Hi you

Three kilometers, was either a 5 kilometer run, or 3 kilometer walk.
Hi you
Meg Posted May 13, 2003
Oh I see. I'm glad it was the walk as I'm not convinced that running is a good idea for most people. I cannot imagine running for fun!
Well done you.

There were quite a few of us, a good sized crowd. Everyone from Moms with strollers to older parents with their 11 or 12 year olds, including about 8 people in wheelchairs.
Hi you
Meg Posted May 13, 2003
Which good cause were you supporting? I've done some of these events for the National Childbirth Trust. Fundraising can be fun. Have to go soon as my shift is nearly over and I stil have paperwork to complete
I'm back again tonight.

Ok meg! This was a general event, you could raise money for the charity of your choice. I was walking (along with a few others) for NABIS - the Northern Alberta Brain Injury Society, who provide support & other services for local victims of traumatic brain injury.

Was wondering where you were Meg, I just thought I'd let you know I'm back online after a rather prolonged absence, & I have to add, it's good to be back! I'm just going to microwave some supper, but should be back in 20 minutes or so.

How're you doing? I (or at least my computer) had a virus that essentially disabled it for awhile. I was busy, & neglected it longer than I should've too. But after awhile I was quite eager to get back.
Hi you
Meg Posted Oct 7, 2003
Missed you. I've cut my hours here so essentially I'm only on line on Mondays now. It makes it hard to keep up with everyone. It takes me hours to catch-up with a week's postings. I don't know if I told you before you went off line that I'm marrying my partner in February next year. I've known him about 20 years and we've lived together for the last 12 and have two children together. I never thought he'd ask me, so I'm really happy.
Hi you

Well, congratulations Meg!! & all that too, thats great!
But I know what you mean about the 'catching up'...I'd been away & disconnected from the 'net (for most of that time) for so long that I had to 're-connect' with alot of people - including yourself .
Hi you

Oh, reasonably, at least during the summer, & now the jazz & blues club (which was closed over the summer) is open again, so I'm often there 3 nights a week.
Hi you
Meg Posted Oct 7, 2003
sounds like fun to me. I'm going to hear the Waterboys play this month. I love live music but don't get much chance to get out recently. That's why I love the summer music festivals. I get a year's worth in one go.
Hi you
Meg Posted Oct 7, 2003
Must dash. Only 5 mins before hometime and I haven't finished my work. See you next week.
Hi you
jaz'd(ace & yada yada *sigh* chocolate yada) Posted Oct 7, 2003
Right, I was a bit distracted there, but have a good week & weekend, Meg...& yes, look forward to seeing you next week.
And again, congratulations on the marriage plans!

Doin' fine meg! Good to hear from you, I'd missed you!
Hi you
Meg Posted Oct 28, 2003
It's good to be back. I couldn't get in for a while when it was updated and I really missed everyone. I get to speak to more people here than I do in real life sometimes (because I work nights). I did go out at the weekend though. I saw a local band who were playing a pub gig on Saturday and saw the Waterboys on Sunday as a birthday treat. The Waterboys were fantastic as usual (I have seen them several times now). I can't stop playing their new CD "Universal Hall"
How's things in Jazz-land?
