I'd better get an extra bottle of Fairy Liquid in.

Love the prawn caper Magster you horror you
Max, when you have a spare minute, could you nip over here with your duster and sort my squalid what passes for a house out?
When Mr. Sarnia had left Uni and was gainfully employed as a loo cleaner at Hertfordshire County Council, he shared a house with another bloke.
Came back from work one day to realise that every item which had a time display had been nicked (clocks, watches). He called the police and they turned up and after going through the house said "You didn't tell us you'd been ransacked, Sir", to which he replied "we haven't, it always looks like this".
If anyone is interested, I have a rather nasty story that the told me, about his days as a Loo Cleaner - not for the squeamish!

OK Mx, you've twisted my arm.
Part of his job (geddit?!) was to bang nails into the handles of the loo brushes, so that they couldn't be used for, err, well - you know...

Happy Friday everyone (anyone?)
Todays fashion news:
Shorts (both sexes), mostly beige
Hemlines, rising, fair
Designer logos, 10, increasing, then losing their identity
Fairisle sweaters, visibility falling, warm
See you later,

Hazel, just got back from mega shopping trip complete with little darlings.... All I could find in the shops was combat this and camoflage (sp?) that. Seems like the whole planet wants to dress like soldiers. They even had a combat type smock top in Evans for goodness sake.

Magster,
It's "combat chic", don'tcherknow? Don't you want to look like Kate Adie on active service, then? What's wrong with you woman? Personally I find a woman in a flak jacket a complete turn-on, as do all right-thinking, red-blooded men. Any man who tells you different is a closet back-tickler.

You mean a flak jacket on with nothing else underneath I presume?

Could get chilly, but I don't see why not...

I'd get her to reply personally, but she's chained up in the basement with a satsuma tied into her mouth...

Hi Magster, I need to be in the right mood when shopping for clothes (happens about twice a year!) but when I do I always find it really frustrating that all the shops in the high street are selling exactly the same thing. It makes no difference whether it suits you, or you like the style - if this years "look" is Planet of the Apes then all you're going to be able to get is a hairy suit.
The army look is particularly scary, I agree. Did you mean a *maternity* smock in camoflague? That really is sick!
Have a good weekend.

Is this the 'weekend' thread? If so, afternoon Hazel.

Hi Pat,
sure - morning, afternoon, weekends... whenever. Weather's not quite tempting enough to go outside just for the hell of it, although it's not far off. Roll on summer.
BTW - the clocks go forward tonight, don't they? I always feel extremely cheated about the hours sleep that gets stolen, even if I have no reason not to get up early the next day.

Hi Hazel,
Summer very nearly here: cricket and warmth and light (except it'll be an hour darker tomorrow morning: pah), brilliant.
Are any of the MBs genuinely active at the weekend? MC-H is v quiet, and QQ seems to be suffering from a collective JR induced hangover (as am I). I should be working, but it's nice to know people are around if they are.

It seems to vary a lot at the weekend - never as busy as the week though, because of all the people who use the boards from work. People who are around seem to pop in and out (which is what I tend to do) - there are usually a few postings on MCH and QQ, but it's not often conversational mode, although occasionally there's enough for a party. I'm not sure about other boards - I sometimes browse around a bit but haven't seen anywhere else I think I'd fit in!.

I'm here too.
I have just made an abortive attempt to visit the Art Deco Exhib at the V&A. But can you believe it - there were loads and loads of other people there! Stone me! Didn't they know the Chelsea Scarletness was going to grace them with her presence? No red carpet, the paparazi were nowhere to be seen...........
So I came home. And now i'm bored - I was going to do my own little thing with the cataglogue - i.e. flick through it - but it's not the same is it.
