Yes it's me and I've decided to 'haunt' the boards under a new disguise. I have a whole new number too so hopefully a certain person won't recognise me. I won't be going onto the MC boards though. I'm afraid it was a case of a - being v annoyed, b - getting upset about the way others were treated too - esp you, Polly as you are special to us all (no crying now!), and c - thinking to myself, 'I don't have to put up with this'. So now I will just chat to you and Rikki and any others who frequent this board, on the assumption that the troublemaker doesn't come this far.
It is a great pity and although I said. 'You win' to him, what I really meant was that I was choosing not to associate with him - sort of sending him to Coventry. Trouble is, obviously, everyone else is affected, which is a great pity. I'd dearly love to carry on 'playing games' with S-C, Frankinsense (although he seems to have disappeared too of late), toots, Cresby and all the other oldies, but I'm afraid that the thought of that man sticking his oar in again is just not what I need.

I'm out for the evening now, and tomorrow, but do please communicate - and I'll keep my fingers crossed that we steer clear of a certain person. smiley - hug

Hello Rick. smiley - smiley

You must surely be utterly worn out! Mind you, I hardly slept last night( I was away from home). I had to come back tonight because I am doing a reading tomorrow at a village church~it will be 'Women's World Day Of Prayer'. If I hadn't been doing that tomorrow, I would have stayed away until after the weekend.

My back is still poorly (thank you for asking). One of our Deacons at church works for a chiropractor. She is going to book me in for a consultation.

I am still feeling very sad about everything (re the MC board). I never want to argue, or upset anyone. And, like it or not, my evenings are usually spent on the MC MB. The little 'coterie', that AHL mentioned, are actually very important to me. I might never get to really know any of you, but you (that little coterie!) are my evening friends. And I care deeply for all my friends. So to have someone ridicule and scoff, at me and my friends,is very hurtful.

Sorry to drone on, Rick!

Are you fast asleep by the fire now? smiley - winkeye I'm unwinding with a glass(or two) of wine. Can't have too many as I don't want a headache in the morning.

At least you get to see so much of the country in the course of a week. Need a navigator?? smiley - winkeye

Hello Graham.

I'm so glad that 'Folderol' is you! I was so scared when you left that first short post!

Graham, I'm also so very happy that you haven't left us altogether. And, when I first read your last message here, I DID cry. smiley - blush

You all must realise by now that I am a very emotional woman. When I love~I love deeply. When I enjoy~I enjoy with great excitement. When I hurt~ I hurt horribly.

I expect that you have read what I have just written to our dear Rick. I still feel very hurt after those cruel remarks from AHL. I swear that I never wanted to be too daft on the MC MB, but sometimes it was fun with you, Rick, SC, and Mathos. But I didn't really want to offend AHL. Yet, was I supposed to take everything he said to me and not say anything in return? I tried not to, but sometimes I couldn't stand his unkindness. I hated it when he first started calling SC 'Fatso'! I do know that dear SC is so sweet and very funny~and doesn't seem to care what AHL calls him. But I felt very uncomfortable about it. BUT~ SC does the same now. The difference is that SC is a sweetie. AHL sadly isn't!

SC and I had 'words' over something rude some time ago. I didn't like something that he had said (it WAS rude), and I pressed the complaint button. I did, though, tell SC that it was me who had complained. It wasn't a problem for either of us. He apologised, and I loved him just the same. He's a funny, and darling, chap. As are you, and darling Rick~~and Mathos.

Graham, I have been worried about 'Frank'. I know that there is absolutely nothing that we can do, but he was very 'down' around Christmas time. And he wasn't very well. I wish he would return to us~just to let us (me) know that he is well and alright. You see, Graham, I take everyone's life quite seriously. Even AHL's! He obviously has a problem! smiley - winkeye Rick might have hit the nail on the head not so long ago about AHL.....

I do hope that you are having a few happy days away from here.

How was the wedding?? I actually thought about you all. I would love to have found the place etc! smiley - whistle (as if I would have dared to!!). smiley - smiley

I know that my own little 'coterie'(see my last message to Rick, and AHL's remark) is only a cyber-coterie!, but you are all very special to me. Maybe I am over-romantic. Or unduly emotional, but I can't help it! My friends~~whatever type they are (cyber or real-life), are important.

Thank you, Graham, for staying here with us. I really was very VERY upset to think that I would no longer get to 'chat' to you. We do seem to go back a long way~~and I'm so happy about that.

smiley - hug

Oh Rick. The Wooodentops?? Haven't you read what I have said about Woodentops? I shan't repeat it unless you tell me that you didn't read it! I am a Woodentop baby!

Rick, you are such a darling. Take care and rest those weary limbs. They must be very well-built! smiley - winkeyesmiley - winkeyesmiley - whistle

I have just finished the 2nd glass of wine. I wish I had some nice crisps. I forgot to buy them tonight in Sainsbury's! Have you tried the parsnip and beetroot crisps (Tyrell's I think)? Golly-they are very delicious! I have got some bread-sticks, so maybe I had better eat some.

How are you getting on with our close friend AHL? smiley - winkeye He doesn't seem to have a go at you! Maybe he has seen your bulging muscles?! smiley - blush

xx

I'm around now Poll, and it is good to be in touch.

I've just got back from Art Group. I've been going to watercolour evening classes for 3 or 4 years - I'm no good, but I was in the advanced group as I should have learnt lots of techniques by now. Problem is, when I was fully employed, I never had time to do any painting in between classes, now when I'm semi retired I still don't seem to have time! Anyway, the evening class collapsed when the tutor had to give up and the community college organising it couldn't find a replacement. So all of us in the class set up our own group teaching ourselves and it is better, as each week one of us leads the group so we get lots of chances to try things that might have seemed off the wall in a normal class. Tonight we were painting 'a la' Emil Nolde - a german who painted in Hitler's Germany - quite dark paintings - look him up - but we all did quite well - a very successful evening, so I'm full of it - as you can see!

It's a shame we can't get the 'coterie' to migrate to this MB - problem is someone else might come too and I don't think I need that. I, too, enjoy the chats - when they are just that! - and that's why I couldn't really leave completely - I was so glad to find you were on a separate baord - I feel v much like you that, although it may seem a waste of an evening, these baords are important. Jan, my wife, as you may know, is a teacher and we usually get to see each other about 10.30 each evening as she's marking and preparing for the next day - don't ever believe that teachers don't work hard - they deserve every minute of their holidays.

It's is a shame we don't have a way to contact Frank - as you say his 'disappearance' is worrying. I will try backtracking on his name and see when he last posted - you never know, he may have 'gone over' to Radio 3! Or worse! Radio 2! smiley - tongueout

Well, it's time to join Jan in a glass of wine smiley - bubblysmiley - cheers - that's a good trick if you can do it!smiley - biggrin

I'll be in touch again regularly now. Don't worry about being a big softie - I'm one too - you should see the tears flow when I watch things like Sound of Music or - worse - the Railway Children. smiley - wahsmiley - wahsmiley - wah

Thanks for being Polly smiley - hug

Graham, you are adorable. smiley - hug

Have a lovely evening with Jan (what is left of the evening). I, too, have had 2 glasses of wine. I ate a little while ago, so the wine is just 'kicking-in'!

I don't think that our Frank has posted for a while now. There was one evening when he was very 'down'. I eventually asked him if he was alright, and although I can't quite remember his answer, it was evident that he wasn't alright. Maybe he is well and happy somewhere. But I can't bear to think that something is wrong.

Anyway, Graham~~thank you for everything. Your art class sounds like great fun. I know that feeling of being on a 'high'! I am like that after every concert that I go to. I want to share it with anyone. But there is no-one usually to share it with. smiley - crysmiley - winkeye

The Railway Children makes me cry every time! As does Braveheart. And Brief Encounter. And Waterloo Bridge. And........

It's really great to be in touch with you, Graham.

'Night 'Night to both of you. Ah, happy happy days. smiley - smiley

Dearest Rick,

I expect that you are off to bed very soon. So I shall bid you a 'Goodnight', and a sweet sleep.

I'm so tired now! I must get my clothes together in readiness for tomorrow morning. I have no idea yet what I am wearing! Probably cords and shirt, with a nice jacket.

How's that tyrant (AHL) tonight? Huh!! smiley - winkeye

Hi Rick. smiley - smiley

How are you today? I did my reading in a tiny church this morning. It went perfectly (I was the only one from my church who didn't make any mistakes!!). A friend and I then went to a beautiful Christian garden centre nearby for lunch, and to walk in the grounds. A delightful afternoon. It is rather chilly here though.

Just having my first glass-of-the-day of white wine. Would you like a glass, or is it too early? smiley - winkeye

PS

When I first started using my computer, I downloaded the 'Real Player'. I thought I needed to for some reason. I have never used it. Never. And it is a perfect nuisance. It pops up when I don't want it. And it causes problems at times. It is a blinking pest. That's why I'm scared to download anything similar. smiley - wah
