All you wanted to know,but were too afraid to ask?
Hi everybody,I did'nt even realise I was on this board,sorry,about me?well I left school in 1965 without an "o" level or any "cse's" to be honest when I was at school I never took much notice about qualifications just put my head down and got on with it as was the custom at the time.
All I ever wanted was a job and to earn my own way,so I started work at 15yoa and one week,I am 62 yoa and a manual worker working sort of nationwide in the contruction industry.
I suppose given another chance at life it would have been more beneficial to have stayed in education but that dont keep the rent paid.
So if my grammar is a bit lacking from time to time I wont mind if you all correct me,as for punctuation?phew probably best avoided.
I'm just updating this a wee bit (15-5-12) I'm still a manual worker but after being made redundant in 2008ish I'm trying my hand at self employment which is quite hard in the construction industry at the moment as there's not much out there at the moment,I suppose it's my age but I have noticed Iam starting to forget words and I cant always pick the right words and when I notice in a later posting my mistakes unfortunately unlike this personal space thread there's normally no edit button,,which in some cases would improve things but as our moderators quite rightly state "people would claim they hadn't said whatever once the original postings had been edited" then I guess I'm just as impulsive as anyone else.So...even though I myself don't intentionally set out to offend anyone I suspect that is not always the case,but try and remember my own maxim in those cases which is "every second wasted hating or disliking someone,is another second wasted" hey ho and my best regards to all of you.
Why have'nt these boards got a spell checker?
Still I can envisage you all nodding now (I'z workin' better 'en a sleepin' tab).Cedric.
