Hello Rikii. I've just been reading some of your poetry on the Art site. It's all very enjoyable. I never thought that your 'card for Christmas' would still be going strong and heading towards Christmas 2007. Well done. Do keep the poetry coming. I heard on R4 this morning that it is now very 'hip' to be a poet!

Hi Polly, its so nice to hear from you again, thank you for your kind support.
As you may have guessed Im a sort of instant poet? as I dont get as much time as I'd like to it seems the lines I like myself always seem rather matter of fact the next day.
Still I suspect one day we'll both get this word play down to a fine art.
Regards.Rick.

Dear Rick,
Thank you for the beautiful poem. Dare I ask-did you compose it? I am sure that you did. It is perfect, and just right for my little dream-world.
Have you always had a love of poetry? It has always been a part of my life-even when a tiny child. I was launched into the world of Palgrave's, and poets such as Lewis Carroll and Browning, from a very early age. Have you any particular poet, or poets, that has/have inspired you?
Thank you again for the very sweet poem.

Hi Polly,I know the time is late
Destiny is blind, knowledge is our fate
Love is the weapon that time will never defeat
Above hate and malice, lies and deceit
Taller than the highest hope and every expectation
It will survive us all into our next generation.

6AM.
Good morning, Rick. I've not been asleep. I think I am becoming very dotty-I thought it was really 7AM. Not because of the clocks going back, but because I thought(for a second) that the clocks had gone forward, and that I had to yet change the computer clock! I wondered why it was so dark!
Puss has been in the wars whilst I've been away.

Hi Polly, hope your little warrior has licked its wounds.I see you've not been posting lately, hope your trouble resolve themselves soon.R.

Hello Rick.
My darling big warrior is happier once again, thank you. I think he was angry at my leaving him for a few days. He's back to snuggling in beside me whenever there is a chance to do so.
It's difficult being silly or amusing when one feels sad. I take sadness with great difficulty.
I've walked miles these last 6 days , to kick at the fallen leaves, and talk to the buzzards and jackdaws. It helps.

Hello Rick.
Yes I am sure that you are quite right.
Today, whilst out, I took lots of photographs of the incredible golden trees in the Forest. That makes me happy. As do the birds and their beautiful aerial displays. I know where there are 2 Buzzards nesting, and the Jackdaws are forever chasing them. I love just standing still and watching them.
Hope you've had a good day.

Hello Rick.
Just drinking some mulled wine. Going to pieces. So need a poem-full of your wisdom, please!

Well,there must be a way
Of keeping sadness at bay
When you feel in a flap
Call your cat to your lap
Then with each calming purr
Self comfort will then occur
As you look in your moggies eyes
You'll displace a thousand sighs
Then you can uncurl your toes
Free from all life's endless woes.
Hello again.
Polly and Pixie Posted Nov 4, 2007
Thank you so much, Rick.
Puss was here, on my lap, a moment ago.
I needed a 'bandage' to heal the injury.

Hello again.

November tells, tender plants will be lost
With her first deposit of hoar frost
The windscreen tells us for certain
Mother nature's frosted lace curtain
Is woven as if by magic in the night
Like gossamer wings, intricate,light
Each tiny pattern unique,so sublime
Painted by a cold passage of time
Posing for sunlight to vanish away
Each masterpiece,with a wonderful ray.
Hello again.
Rikiiboy Posted Nov 17, 2007
It matters not how cold we are outside
Our feelings we should never try to hide
Our inner feelings will always show
An aurora, external halo
A persona that some will recognise
Truth, has no need to ever disguise.
