Hello Rick.

Yes I can use my computer whenever I want, for as long as I want.

Did you have a good day? Did you do anything special?

I was out all day. I went to church in the morning, and then back to my friend's home for lunch. I found my poor little lost glove(did I mention it to you?)! It was sitting on a post, near M&S, where I had got out of the car. I had such a surprise when I saw it. It must have been frozen all night, and then defrosted in the sunshine!

I was at church tonight, and afterwards 2 lovely friends (a married couple) came back for coffee, good music, and a bit of poetry. They left at 10pm.

It's been a freezing cold day although the sun was beautiful. The sunset was utterly glorious. The sky changed from crimons to yellows and oranges. It was so beautiful. And the Winter trees were silhouetted against the evening sky. Wonderful.

I hope that you haven't got to get up terribly early today. Take care on the roads if you are out and about in the early morning.

And thank you for the gorgeous poem. I truly think that your poetry is becoming really great. The last few poems have been so beautiful. Bless you, Rick.

Goodnight and God bless you.

Polly

Hi Polly,so if you have unlimited access and the cost of your internet connection remains at £13.99 then you should be able to watch the BBCi-player.

The marvellous service from the beeb is a flash player which means no part of the programme/s are downloaded on your P.C.

So You watch them instantly like a TV.

Anyway enough waffle,as you've guessed I've had a few days off, though not because of my belly ache(which I still have)Im just using up the last of my holiday entitlements before the end of Feb.

The "milk Thistle"ermmm now that's a tricky one its main job is supposed to detox the liver and kidneys which in my case will have to work very hard indeed, anyway head up and have a really nice day the sun's already blazing away heresmiley - rose

Good morning Rick.

Do you get the results yet from your GP? Let me know, please, when you do. smiley - rose Are you trying to mostly eat bland foods whilst you have your tummy thing? When I have a bout of my horrid diverticulitus, I have to eat 'low residue' foods. That means no whole grains, brown breads, high roughage etc. White flour products are perfect for me at such a time. I live for a while on Rich Tea biscuits and bread sticks! I never eat spicy foods though.Oh,I tell a fib ~~ I was taken to an Indian restaurant for my birthday (I think).

BTW, may I ask what month your birthday in?

Yes, it is very sunny here, and freezing cold. I am out later. I have been waxing an old pine coffee table that I acquired yesterday. It looks beautiful in the sitting room.

Have a very happy and peaceful day, dear Rick.

Love from me.

I'm enjoying a bottle of white South African, and feeling somewhat 'mellow'. Care to join me? There's plenty of the stuff. It was on offer at Waitrose. They were promoting reds and whites, so I tried both. The red wasn't to my taste at all. The white was!

Hello Rick. My typing is a bit hard at the mo as it is being done with 1 finger! Wookie is sitting on my left hand !

The last beautiful poem is tinged with a poignancy. Is it about someone that you once loved(still love)? You mentioned something to me.

I had had enough of AHL last night so I switched the computer off!

Have a happy day.

Hi Polly,I was at the doctors today all my scan results were negativish,so I had to leave another armfull of blood for loads more blood tests, some of which will take as long as three weeks.
I think the one test(looking for bacteria,a particular type)has to be cultivated or cultured whatever they call the process(probably end up with a tree or an egg plant)apart from that I've had an uneventful day so far,I keep thinking about what the (boy)doc said"if these tests come to nothing we???? may have to put a camera down"it sounded like a job for the BBC film crew.
Anyway enough waffle,my son's on a course in London this week and next YIPPEEEEEE!peace and quiet.
I bet you still did'nt watch wainwrights walk, did yousmiley - biggrin

Rick, I am so happy that the results are 'negative'. That has to be good news.

I have had an endoscopy-a few years ago. And one that starts at the other end of one's body! You will be given something to aid the endoscopy. I was given something BUT by the time it was my turn, there wasn't much left of whatever we were given! After the procedure, I was the only person on the mixed ward that was fully awake. Yes-I was awake throughout the endoscopy. Make sure that you aren't-or that you get plenty of whatever to help you. It lasts only moments.

Sorry if I ask personal things of you(re:my last post).I'm not being nosey. I just like to know a little about you. Do forgive me.

No I still haven't watched the 'walks'. smiley - blush

So, peace and quiet reigns in your home for a while! Surely it never is that noisy??

Oh dear~~another young body found at Bridgend. How very sad.

Just in from my walk--did almost 3 hours in the woods. Bliss.

Again, I'm glad you have had the test results, Rick.

Hello dear Rick.

How are you? Utterly exhausted from getting up so early? Poor you. All work and no play.....

Yes, I've been away for a few days. I had a BSO concert to go to on Wednesday. It was lovely. I also packed in some walks in the beautiful Dorset countryside. I didn't want to come back home. smiley - sadface But here I am. At least it wasn't cold when I came in!

Here's a lovely hug smiley - hug to wake you up.

Dearest Rick,

HI! smiley - hugsmiley - hug

A kind church friend comes to my help here at home.

I'm so sorry that your horrid tummy thing is still making life a bit miserable for you. I've got a bout of my diverticulitis~and it is making me feel so unwell. My back and tummy aches so much because of it. If it gets really bad, I have to be very careful. Toxins start to race around my body and it makes me quite ill.

I wonder if you have got something similar? I hope not.

Are you off out now? Or an early night? I am doing the creche tomorrow morning at church. I just hope that I feel well enough.

The walking near Kingston Lacy was so gorgeous. I'm sure that you would have loved it too. The air, and the vista, were wonderful. I forgot my camera though. I usally take my trusty camera everywhere with me.

I have got a thought in my head, for my future. I shan't tell you yet what it is, but it will be sort of life-changing! I can't go on much longer with the unhappiness that I feel here. Needs must!

I've got a dinner-date on Wednesday! Wimborne is full of really great eating places. I've been asked if there is anywhere immediately here that is just as nice. In a nutshell ~" No "!

Rick, you must take care too. smiley - hug

Did you get any of those Daily Mail DVD's during the week? I never buy that paper, but I did just to get the DVD's! They are only Catherine Cookson films, but I love them. There is another DVD offer coming up in a weeks time! At 9am, in Smith's, the queue was out the door (for the Mail!!). It was embarrassing!

Hi Polly.
"I have got a thought in my head, for my future. I shan't tell you yet what it is,"
Nothing to rash I hope Polly,as Im a great student of my own company and solitude(because of work etc)I can honestly say this, that are are far more miserable things on this horrid planet that we call Earth than one's own company.
Sometimes when we're alone we can even laugh out loud at the foolish notions we have of lonliness, why now I find(most likely because my brain is disengaged)any time I get to myself precious, with the hud bub of modern life it is so hard these days to find time to be alone.
Anyway sorry if Im waffling a bit here I know you feel that where your living at present is not what you feel you deserve, yet life is all about building isnt it?Winter is only a small part of the year, yes its horrid and cold but let your mind tempt you with all the other seasons.
Perhaps you do need to find yourself a new partner/lover,yet Im speaking from experience here(sorry)The first thing you learn about living on your own is independence expensive, but you're worth every penny.
Whatever path you're walking, hope your god is smoothing the way.
Head up gal tomorrow's a brand new day.smiley - hug

Hi, Rick.

Gosh am I tired! I have had a happy and long day. I have just had a wonderful walk(although there was a scary 5 minutes!). I must have walked for miles. I was at church this morning, and then I treated a friend to lunch out.

No I'm not purposely looking for a 'partner or lover'! I don't want to be forever on my own every night though. I have so much love to give away.

I adore the winter. I love the rain. I DO like my home, but not here. If I could move it..... I could even then maybe put up with the freezing kitchen!

I fear the summer! I know that sounds very odd. Last year, there were hooligans at times on the church green(at the end of my garden). I was very scared every night. It was horrid. The person who has broken my heart last November was always at the end of the computer-line. He made me feel safer. I knew he cared. Now I no longer have his care. And I'm scared. So I fear the long, warm nights.

Thank you for your advice Rick. I have had many years living alone, and I am tired of my freedom. I like my own company and am very used to it. But I do have yearnings etc.

Anyway, I hope you have had a peaceful day. It is raining here, but my home is cosy!

Hi Polly, good people dont ever stop caring, your friend at the end of the phone still cares, but sometimes when we are drowning we pull others down with us.
Life is like a massive jig-saw puzzle.
Its only education and experience that can make the picture.
That is why I've always struggled to make a living, leaving school(no choice)at fifteen as always left a vacant space between my ears, and I must admit I do envy the have'ssmiley - wah
Anyway Im not trying to make you feel sad(sorry)if I can just raise an eyebrow or better still a smirk that'll make my daysmiley - hug
Head up Gal and remember your mouth always turns downwards with gravity,
it does take some effort to smile, but your worth it.smiley - biggrin

Thank you, dearest Rick.

I'm just an emotional person, and will always be so. My lost friend is forever in my thoughts. He made my heart beat fast, and made each day a little paradise. I cry every night for him.
