Thanks Lil - your contributions have been very accomplished as well as very understanding in the circumstances, and thanks too to Prof for an excellently observed piece of work - that inscription on your gravestone is absolutely hilarious (as usual).

Thanks both for your strong support. I don't like being unpleasant to people and I believe that the recent intervention didn't need to be interpreted as unpleasant - perhaps I put it the wrong way - but I do worry if I've upset someone, even if something like it needed to be said. Fizzymouse - if you're ing I didn't mean to upset you and get upset back. Sorry if that was the case.

Awaits my fate, it waits there just for me.
Death will be waiting, smiling, modestly -

A person or a pension, whatever
Time has in the locker. Whether
and whatever waits for me - soon, shortly or forever
The time can only be delayed, cannot be 'never'.


Waves whisper among the sharp black rocks to me
Quietly -
That I shall surely see
The summation of this short and barren life soon - one dread day
On a stormy, dreary night, when I shall cease to be,

Jab, we all have different tastes and innocent words can be amusing to one and offensive to another. I have seldom liked 'prose poetry' because while prose can be beautiful, to a yoik like me it aint a poem. So your last poem, having rhyme and rhythm was a real grabber. Good upon you mate.
