Pauls hesitation
Is procrastination:
Shilly shally
Dilly dally
Delaying
And playing
The waiting game.
Shame!

Dream! Tomorrow's only Reality.

Sun is setting, the closing of the day,
what will tomorrow bring if I awake.
Will the skies be red, the smell of death in the air.
Continents destroyed, consumed in war.
Peace, a dream in my mind, will it become a reality.
Something that once was before the time of man.
How many will be using its name as a cause.
Will the land flourish as nature intended,
am I wishing for something that's impossible.
Or will man realise the mistake's he's making.
Extinction of life is the only destiny for us,
sooner to kill than give a helping hand.
Sun is setting, the closing of the day,
what will tomorrow bring if I awake.
Should I never awake, shall I see peace,
or will man follow me to carry on the torment.

travel:

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Flutt'ring and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

posted in my thread a while ago by my friend.

Here is one I made up just now and tells somewhat how I'm feeling at the moment.

This pain I feel is pain indeed
This pain I feel is pain of need
I want it out, I want it done
I want it over, the pain to be gone.

My swollen face my aching ear
The pain is almost too much I fear
I want it out, I want it done.
I want it over, the pain to be gone.

A drink of two may numb the pain
A drink or two may be in vain.
I want it out, I want it done.
I want it over, the pain to be gone.

Now three or four it’s beginning to numb
The pain may be there but I feel none.
I want it out, I want it done.
I want it over, the pain to be gone.

Now five or six I say to thee
No pain I feel my spirit is free
I want it out, I want it done
I want it over, the pain to be gone.

Now seven of eight and I’m feeling fine
But will I get to the dentists on time
I want it out, I want it done.
I want it over, this pain to be gone.

The dentists tomorrow to relieve the pain
If he can’t fix it, I’ll go insane.
I want it out, I want it done.
I want it over, the pain to be gone.

I don’t care for now I’m free
No pain I feel, another drink for me
I want it out, I want it done?
I want it over, what pain to be gone?

Sandals are good for letting the air in
But not much use for when it's rainin'
Some folk insist on wearing wellies
These can make your feet quite smelly.
Wearing trainers for too long
Can really cause a dreadful pong.
Shoes look smart upon your feet
Keeping toes and socks all sweet.
All shoes should be highly polished,
Other footwear be abolished.

The Rainbow

The rainbow of colors
So merry and bright
Each color has a purpose
Even black and white

The rainbow is so full
Of radiance and gleam
It sparkles and shines
Through every little beam

After a storm
A rainbow you'll see
With all the glaring colors
A rainbow there'll be

Then at the end
Your dream will come true
A pot of gold awaiting
All just for you

I see I've been the subject of an ode. smiley - erm

"No chocolate for you, my absent-minded friend.
I was left at the station. It's not a good trend.
You went to the store and you never came back.
There was no bread for supper; I made some hardtack.

And when you came back, you'd forgotten your name,
And even your passwords. You just aren't the same.
Have you been possessed? Have you suffered a stroke?
Or is this some kind of a sick cosmic joke?

Sadness During the Holidays

He that fears death, or mourns it, in the just,
Shews of the Resurrection little trust.
For even at Christmas, those of us who must,
No matter the revelling, no excuse the lust,
Pass from ashes to ashes again, and dust to dust.

Most nights, I dream of the perfect world.
Where all 'man' speaks the same language
and the word 'weapon' does not exist.
Where the enemy is not on this earth we walk,
but on a far planet, in our imagination.
Will the human race ever realise Startrek.
Or will 'man only retain greed and hate,
as his contribution to the future.

I'd like to be,
Under the sea,
In an octopuses garden in the shade.
Did someone else say that?
It sounds old hat.
It may have been some song that I heard played.
But just the same,
I might be game,
To wander in the water with a wet mermaid.

Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore.
Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;
But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door -
Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door -
Perched, and sat, and nothing more.

Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore,
`Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou,' I said, `art sure no craven.
Ghastly grim and ancient raven wandering from the nightly shore -
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night's Plutonian shore!'
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'
