EYE don't believe it!

My last post on my Journal got yikesed.

I absolutely did not say anything racist, homophobic, ageist, sexist, offensive, derogatory, intended to disturb the community etc...I would think that 'you lot' know me better than that.

A1l i can imagine is that, in the course of a really quite personal response to Lady P, regarding the RL situation between me & p; i used the Dreaded Asterixes to lighten the tone, could be seen as 'walk' 'work' 'wink'.....or the Word that dare not squeak its name?

So,shall we transfer to another thread; no doubt i will say something naughty here too; more details via email if you wish.

EYE LAND!

smiley - goodlucksmiley - goodlucksmiley - goodlucksmiley - sheepsmiley - blacksheepsmiley - goodlucksmiley - goodlucksmiley - goodluck

So; i reckon it's time for an ewe (oops, i mean New!) EYE thread; since there seems some confusion between which EYE thread is the current one...so please abandon ship & move here, spread the word!smiley - biggrin

So; here i am if you want to say hello "you lot" & bring me up to date with what's going on in your lives etc. Tried to do this last night, but hootoo was downsmiley - rolleyes

Here in 'sunny intervals with showers' Eyeland, life is just pretty well grand; i feel truly blessed to be living on a lovely farm, with lovely Yodasmiley - cat now retrieved from France, along with Eddasmiley - dog, Fritzsmiley - cat and of course, the unbelievably wonderful hooman, P.smiley - loveblush

Today is August 5, 2009, a fairly typical day...

6a.m: wake 'cos it's dawn, but go back to sleep, smiley - cuddle Yoda!

8a.m: Finally get up, feed smiley - dogsmiley - catsmiley - cat; have home made blackcurrant hot drink outside & watch the second set of swallows this year feeding hungry baby birds.

8.30a.m: P gets up, after smiley - hugsmiley - smooch etc, he gets his smiley - coffee fix & we discuss what to do today, weather seems to be set to 'middling nice', meaning lots of both Solar & Wind power, so he does washing machine, i hoover, he then goes on computer, i potter around being good little Haûsfrau!

9:30 ish, is 2nd breakfast time, cats have meanwhile been basking in the sun, hunting down small creautures to torment (unsucessfully!)
P has countedsmiley - sheep, continued to hack the jungle back to manageable height, stockpiled wood....etc. so we decide to go into town.

Town being a rather tiny one, mainly composed of pubs & not muchly changed for centuries.

It's a nice place, very 'user friendly'! So: updates please on where 'you lot'; my lovely fiends are living; how does it compare, what are the pluses & minuses? If money/career/family obligations etc were *not* a consideration; would you choose to stay where you are, or go elsewhere, roam the world or what?

All invited here by the way for my birthday week (Sept 23), emaii me at my zendevil gmail addy please!

smiley - hug to you all.

EYE OPENER!

Sunday 16 March, Angoulême, France.

We Did It!!!smiley - applause

The Green Party, now allied with the Socialists in general, have had what is being quoted as a "historic" victory here today in France & yours truly played a small part in this. Sat through hours of meetings, trying very hard to make out what was going on (there are easier ways to learn a foreign language, believe me!smiley - rolleyes)& went out campaigning; made my voice felt as a vegetarian, "handicapped" foreigner, but most importantly, as a Human who isn't gonna just sit here & watch this "mostly harmless" littlesmiley - planet & every creature on it being destroyed by Big Business.

I am obviously not the only one who feels like this, since even in the capitals of French bling culture, the right wing has been firmly defeated.

This is really, really important, my fiends. If our tiny little rock amongst the smiley - stars disappears, politics ceases to matter & the fact that at least here, the whole country seems to have finally woken up & voted with their feet to "Carry on with Life, The Universe & Everything" deserves at least a new Jopurnal Entry (& 42 Clash songs!smiley - winkeye, so abandon EYEBALLS, spread the word & move over here...Yoda is throwing a big Paaaaaaaaaaartyyyyyy!

EYEBALLS!

7th July 2007.....so that's 07:7:07. Supposedly a smiley - magic date. So seems like a good time to start a new EYE thread.

Given the title, maybe we will invite Posh & Beckssmiley - football; the winners & losers & ballboys & girls from Wimbledonsmiley - tennisball....if the weather continues being bizarre, maybe we could have a smiley - snowballsmiley - llabwonsfight.

Certainly we must have lots of smiley - discosmiley - discosmiley - discomirror balls & do some serious dancing around oursmiley - handbag

Party time, you lot!smiley - bubblyHaul them over from the last Eye thread & drag 'em kicking & screaming from wherever they may smiley - lurk!

smiley - zensmiley - devilTerri & smiley - cdoublesmiley - catYoda
