A VERY NAUGHTY BEAST!
Posted Jan 10, 2003
As predicted, the change to broadband hasn't gone like clockwork, it'll be a few days before we're back to normal, in the meantime we're doing this through the (highly expensive) pay-as you go bit.
So message short & cryptic.
The e-mail address looks like it'll be changed too, so basically we're out of contact till further notice, but will return ASAP hopefully faster than before!
See you soon, we're thinking of you!
Terri

Wed.8th.Jan--THE BEAST GOES BROADBAND!!!
Posted Jan 8, 2003
Tonight between 6.30 & 9pm French time, we (well, actually a friend) will be attempting to transfer onto the broadband thing. This will apparently involve upgrading from Windows 95 to 98, plus some weird card thing called USB. It all means less than not a lot to me, but will apparently make life easier in the long run.
I have been assured that this will NOT involve losing everything, but being of a "what if" mentality, if it did, we would re-register with hootoo under names that you'd recognise & set about re-building it all!
So if there's any things happening when you reach this space ce soir, we haven't died, France hasn't been nuked etc.
Abbi, mrs, Nyssa, Z all have the e-mail etc; but presumably this would all have to be sorted out too in a "worst-case scenario"!
Wish us luck!!
Terri.
(this also affects contact with of course!)

WHO'S GOT EYES???(3)
Posted Jan 7, 2003
It's Tuesday Jan 7th here in Angoulême
It's about 7 o'clock in the evening (early for me to be hooting!)
Feeling much more "with-it" than yesterday; the restorative powers of sleep!
Today's RL happenings:
Mango chutney is a resounding success!
I thought of you jazzedupcurry; you'd it!
This 'Chat Masala' idea is DEFINITELY going to happen, though it may be as part of another idea which is part of my evil master plan for world domination (are you with me on this ?)
Doesn't my alien look pretty in his own little disco?
All due to spending most of today finding out about GuideML (you should see HIS page!)
Xmas card & sweeties from Nyssa (very big indeed!)
e-mail from Trudy & Nigel, been trying to get back in touch with them for years. They're living in the Middle East, teaching English. I shall e-mail them back & suggest they join hootoo; they'd love it!
Vero the came round, demanding a photo of Yoda the & her sister Pudding (who lives with Vero) as she wants to turn them into a T.shirt. I should explain that Vero is (probably) not a , but is definitely, plays the flute & is very entertaining, if somewhat distracting "should be taken with aspirin" as would say!
STOP PRESS: alert for our bit of France!
Just got up from my 2hr snooze, so I'm ready to go!!
What have you lot been up to?
Terri.
Yoda.

Sun.Jan.5th, 2003 WHO'S GOT EYES TODAY?
Posted Jan 5, 2003
Hello there, unsuspecting Universe!
Terri &Yoda logging in.
It's 11.30pm here in France.
Today in RL we've been DIY'ing; hanging guitars, mandolins, violins & a banjoline (hands up who knows what that is?) on the living room wall, plus putting up shelves for my tin collection.
Very nice it looks too.
Pat on the back for all concerned (that's you too!)
What have you lot been up to?
