Mornin' Chaps! (esp. Dawn) Chipper?
Well it's a bit chilly today and it looks like it may continue for next few days so get out those Damarts!! Just look at the relief on the faces of those already partaking ...
And now it's time for Media Watch: Claire Short? Numpty! Yes, but at least she's doing the right thing now ... Phil Truffel? Presumably some sort of "posh nosh"? Wayne Rooney? Coca Cola 3-legged kid? Well, he sure looks like him! Hold on, I have stop now because I have medial knee ligament injury (I may have twisted it in other words!) ...
Today's pupae is Tiger Moth by the way ...

Mornin'all,
Chipper-tastic today. Clare Short? And I thought resigning Tories were poisonous!

Cricketer of the Day: Tuffers.
Numpty of the day: Tuffers (all that 'Where's my Dawnie? I love you so much' stuff got me in the Comparison Dog House ('Oh, that's so lovely: isn't it great when people are in love like that?' (translation: 'Why don't you ever say things like that to me?'))).

Morning,
Theme of the day: Hygiene
Must-buy items: shower gel (citrus flavour); new toothbrush
Weather: sunny but brisk
Pat - I thought Tuffers looked rather uninterested in "his Dawnie", despite what he was saying. Actions speak louder, and all that!

I forgot, Weather - thunder and lightning, and heavy rain. Yuck!

Hazel,
You're right about Tuffers, but when I tried to explain that I was frowned upon in spades!

Bugs are an awesome source of protein, you could play Godzilla stomp around wreaking havoc into little buggy hearts.
Artist of the day---Sarah Slean. I saw her last night. It was my first time ever hearing her music and I had chills running through my body. I actually felt tears well up in my eyes. It was also in large part due to the raw emotion she pumped through every note. It didn't matter weather it was a ballad or a raging musical conquest she had her soul in every part. You guys should really try seeing if you can find any of her stuff to download, suggestion--song: Duncan, and the song that she's most well known for right now is Sweet Ones which is also fabulous!
And so music evolves further to continually mind boggling heights. I still definitely feel your pain Peter. Noel Redding—sadly yet another beautiful addition to Rock’n’Roll heaven.

Hi BoP,
What sort of music does Sarah Slein do then? It's not a name I'm familiar with.

hmmmm...I guess you could say that she is a mixture between folk music , rock music and Edith Piaf. Very difficult to explain. She has very interesting lyrics and rather than being the traditional rock or Folk star with a guitar she plays the piano. There's a song from the movie Moulin rouge called "Complaint de la Bute". It's by another one of my favourites-Rufus Wainrite- and his piano stylings in that are very similar to hers. She Can be ver soft on the instrument yet she can also turn it into a raging tool of rock.
-did that help?

BoP,
Oh dear, I'm a bit of a sad old man, and like the following (currently)...
Cheap Trick
Puddle of Mudd
New Found Glory
Blink182
Sum 41 (Canadians - Yay!)
Punky/rock stuff in the main. I'm growing old disgracefully...
What about you?

BoP,
Can I pick a Canadian brain for a sec - There was a comedy series shown here some years ago, called "Four on the Floor" I think. Does that ring a bell? I think we only got 1 or 2 series, were any more made?

OK, ignore that last question, I Googled and found the answer (in amongst a lot of gay nightclub entries, somewhat bizzarely!)

An example of the Frantics stuff, from the fan-club website...
//Here is one of my favourite cut sketches. It was going to go into the Socrates episode in Season 1, but there wasn't room. It's a parody of the TVO book show Imprint,
but I liked the way that it actually reflects fairly accurately the view that the Greeks had of the Jews.
Chilonis, the host, is interviewing Moishe, a rabbi.
CHILONIS I must say, I loved your new book, The Torah?
MOISHE Thank you. Of course, I was just one of many writers and editors on the project.
CHILONIS The stories here are just incredible. Personally, I loved that part where the hero Moses drowns all the Egyptians. Fantastic.
MOISHE We tried hard to keep it relevant to today.
CHILONIS I couldn't help notice, though, that most of your story is about the god Zeus. Why did you decide to ignore all the other gods?
MOISHE It's not really about Zeus. It's about our god, the god of the Hebrews.
CHILONIS The all-powerful deity who is king of heaven.
MOISHE Yes.
CHILONIS Well, that's Zeus.
MOISHE It may sound like your Zeus, but our God has told us that he is the only one we may worship.
CHILONIS (Laughing) Oh boy! That is so like Zeus.
MOISHE His name is not Zeus.
CHILONIS What is his name?
MOISHE (Nervous) It's a secret.
CHILONIS Zeus loves his secret identities, doesn't he.
MOISHE It's not Zeus.
CHILONIS It was also nice to see that, in addition to your Jewish tales, you also put some of our Greek myths in your book, like this one about Noah.
MOISHE Noah? Noah wasn't Greek!
CHILONIS Right, but he's obviously meant to be Deucalion, who built the ark when the god Zeus flooded the world.
MOISHE No, he's meant to be Noah. And it's wasn't the god Zeus. It was the god God.
CHILONIS Deucalion / Noah. Zeus / God. The main thing is he ends up safely on Mount Parnassus.
MOISHE Ararat. It was Mount Ararat!
CHILONIS Now, after this wonderful first novel, I have to ask what everyone's asking: are there any plans for a sequel?
MOISHE Yes, we're making tentative plans for the Apocrypha. It'll be a series of updates to the current book.
CHILONIS Wonderful. More Zeus stories.
MOISHE It's not Zeus.
CHILONIS And anything beyond that?
MOISHE It's vague. Some people have said that, since this book was about the father god, the next one should be about the son.
CHILONIS The sun god! Apollo!
MOISHE No, the son of God.
CHILONIS That's Apollo all right. The son of Zeus. Oh, we love Apollo here in Athens.
MOISHE Oh God!
