Hazel, my little lychee in syrup,
And a very good evening to you too.

The Magster Posted Apr 26, 2003
Thanks Alistair and CG. He had forgiven me by bedtime, lots of love and cuddles and all that He's a bit of a tough cookie to handle actually, very highly strung and extremely clever, officially gifted. Try having an argument with an 8 year old and know that you will lose because of his superior intellect!
CG Scarlettness, you will find the appropriate arguments on about pages three and four of FLN under, every day another atrocity and locking up kids. There are others too but they're not worth the hassle. Actually they are worth reading for inspiration from paul bernal and the wonderful betty.

Reading FLN, I came across this:
'bettyfjord...i didn't say that you were anti american because you did not support the war
i have said that you show anti american bias because of your consistent and persistant tirades against them.
i can see no reason for equating fire RAISERS and fire FIGHTERS to troops invading another counrty!
i certainly do NOT support fire RAISERS, and i most certainly DO support fire FIGHTERS, because they ALL oppose what the fire RAISERS are doing
you may not have noticed that they do opposing things!
so if you want to equate fire fighting with soldiers in war.......what you should be saying is that you support firemen, but not when they fight fires!
just think about it!'
Translation anyone?

Hazel, Mr Magster knows I'm a flirting tart so I have no worries on that score.
Alistair, I don't speak ij so I cannot help. Sorry

louloubelle Posted Apr 26, 2003
Oh Alistair don't start me off with firefighters...where is this thread?!
Did you do any sports today? Or are you awaiting the Premiership with baited breath??
I'm a tad slow this evening but who do you support?

LegersV007 Posted Apr 26, 2003
Alistart, it just sounds like bunch of Mumble-Jumble to me. Or in short, the person is anti-american because he saying bad things about american fighters.
Magster, young kids do sometimes are to smart for us. I think cause they think only in Bad and Good, and its impossible to convert them from one to another.

Ali Dubya Posted Apr 26, 2003
Rugby season ended last week, Lou, and there was no cri**et today (it's not the same). Bored senseless. I did some press work at lunchtime but spent most of the day listening to CDs and playing with mys...the dog.
What is there to do on Saturdays if you're not playing or watching sport? I'm a tad broke so I didn't go out (actually, I couldn't be bothered).
Saturday
Ali Dubya Posted Apr 26, 2003
Sorry, Lou, Ips**ch Town. Don't tell anyone. I used to watch Pompey when they were hopeless but wouldn't have been much fun this year because they've been good.

Ali Dubya Posted Apr 26, 2003
Thanks for that, Legers. I might have a bit of fun and play around with the words - and then post it...

The Magster Posted Apr 26, 2003
Alistair, when I was young, free and single and not attached to anyone and not playing netball, I used to go out to museums and art galleries or arrange rather wild BBQ's or picnics or pub crawls with friends. If I was broke (I usually was) mates would pay if payment was required and then I would do the same for them when it was their turn to be broke. Have you no imagination or do prefer doing unimaginable things to the dog? ...actually why didn't you take the dog out for a walk...you get to meet birds that way

I prefer Lychees in their own natural juice Ali.
Re the "ij" stuff - as you know I only like to contribute to "light news" threads! I wonder if it would be safe to start one again... next week...

This makes much more sense:
'bettyfjord...i didn't say that you were anti american because you did not support the fire FIGHTERS.
i have said that you show anti fire RAISERS bias because of your consistent tirades against it.
i can see no reason for equating america and country fire FIGHTERS to troops invading another fire!
i certainly do NOT support american soldiers , and i most certainly DO support fire RAISERS , because they ALL oppose what they are doing.
you may not have noticed that they do fire fighting opposing war things!
so if you want to equate with bettyfjord in persistant war.......what you should be saying is that you support firemen, but not when they fight war!
just think about them!'

I was reading a silly new paper and came across a ad promoting some guy by the name Holger Czukay and his band called CAN. I think he is german. Has anyone heard his music and is he any good?

All I've done is cut and paste a few words.
Hazel, let me assure you that the idea of Magster (or any other woman for that matter) prancing around in a short skirt and tight top is not one that would enter my head.
