Emee, out from under the rock Posted May 14, 2003
for the and . Don't mind if I do.
39 isn't old. Neither is 40. It's only old if you feel & act old. By the way, my brother (just turned 20) thinks that there should be fireworks for my birthday next year. Not sure why.
I'm getting a new car tomorrow. Mine died again yesterday and the cost of replacing the ignition will be more than what my car is worth. So. I'm going to bite the bullet and sign up for car payments.
Good evening

The last thing anybody accuses me of is acting my age,i've got the mind of a twelve year old,it's just the body that's falling to pieces.
Get yourself a nice convertable i recommend an MGF,top down, cruising USA.

So then you have a car that doubles as a pool in the winter. We've had hail here this week, only little pea sized ones though, not the whoppers you get(I am becoming obssesed with smileys i'm gonna start a campaign to have them introduced into normal speech)
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted May 14, 2003
That's a good idea. I love smileys. I use an instant message thing sometimes and wish it had them. There are times when are the only things that will say what you mean.
Good evening
airscotia-back by popular demand Posted May 14, 2003
I think they're more expressive than words,just imagine Shakespeare with smileys;
"Out out foul spot"
"A horse,a horse my kingdom for a horse"
"Where for art thou Romeo"
"To be or not to be"
Good evening

Theres a book waiting to be written there.
What music you into then Emee?,i see you as Shania Twain,Madonna and perhaps a bit of Dance to relax
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted May 14, 2003
Interesting. There are a couple of Madonna albums that I can tolerate, but not many and not often. I do like Dance from time to time though - usually go to the clubs for that.
I'm a bit ecclectic. I like U2, Weezer, Joan Jett, Green Day, Led Zepplin, Mama's & the Papa's, Billie Holiday, Miles Davis, Mozart, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Tractors -- a bit of everything. But NOT Shania. *shudder*

Ker-ching!
Good taste there Emee, varied Mozart to Zepplin. My tastes are pretty wide ranging too,my latest albums are Coldplay,David Gray,Chillie Peppers, but i just found some John Betjeman poetry recited by him over 1930's type music that i'm a bit taken with.I draw the line at opera however, that is carp-big time,if i had my way they'd all be shot for making that noise
Good evening
airscotia-back by popular demand Posted May 14, 2003
i won't shoot you for listening to opera, just don't sing it.
I even tried listening to opera in English to see if that would make a difference-no.
I don't like Shania either by the way.
Anyway Emee as ever it's been nice talking but i must off to bed,Doctors in the morning, annual checkup,so i don't want the blood pressure at an all time high after an anti-opera rant(remember to breath-i know)
nite nite see ya tommorrow
*waves*

Hi, had an early night yesterday, the Airscotians are a bit unwell,i think they've caught my lurgey from last week.
Been dying to find out about the new car, what is it,and have you been cruising.
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted May 19, 2003
I got a 2001 Beetle GLX - means it has a 1.8L turbo charged engine . It has a sunroof & heated seats. That will be nice this winter. Drove it to the far reaches of Kansas over the weekend so I could go to my cousin's high school graduation.
Sorry to hear everyone's . Hope they're all well soon.
Good evening

Hi, everone is much better, this lurgey only seems to last a day or two.
Great car,got to get some Surfin SoundsEverybody's gone surfin',for a car like that.
We don't really have much of a graduation culture over here, you just sort of get your results and drift off, shame really.I think a presentation and bit of applause is deserved after all the effort.
*Sings* She's got her daddy's car and........
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted May 19, 2003
I'll have to see if they make Beach Boys cd's. I do have the Mama's & the Papa's in the changer.
High school graduation is a big deal here. Not sure why. Still, it's an excuse to get together with friends and family and have good food. I think there's some left over if you'd like.
Good evening
airscotia-back by popular demand Posted May 19, 2003
graduation cake i've not had that before, soon fill that gap in my life.
Mammas and Pappas, more classic cruisin' music. It's funny how some music just suits driving. And no before you ask i don't listen to C&W all day,or wear a checked shirt.
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted May 19, 2003
I was lost for a minute there. C&W is how I designate one of the companies I work with. And they don't make music of any kind. I can tell it's Monday. I used to wear plaid flannel shirts in my grunge days. Here we are now. Entertain us.
