I started Robinson Crusoe yesterday, but i'm struggling with it,the language is a bit odd. It'll come though.
I've seen the house in Fife,Scotland, where Alexander Selkirk, the real Crusoe lived.Very pretty little fishermans cottage.
Here endeth the history/geography lesson

Three men in a boat,by JKJ also a good one i've not long finished.Quite a gentle little comedy, and i've drunk in one of the pubs mentioned in the book.
You come to these old classics thinking you'll know every bit of them, and there are always surprises.
Whats your latest?
and?

The Little Drummer Girl by John LeCarre. It's one I read over and over as the mood strikes. The recent troubles in the Middle East brought it to mind again so I reread it.

I liked the story a lot. It has a lot of psychology. I've read some of his other stuff, but didn't enjoy it as much.
Thanks for the and .

I'm tired. And looking forward to 3 days off. I'll probably drop in from time to time so that I don't have to wade through backlog on Monday.
Have to remember to stop at my friends' on the way home. Found some really cute baby clothes on sale at Gap on Saturday.

They're expecting a boy. And the nursery is all in blue, so it better have all the right bits. Or she better like airplanes.
Nope. No little Emee's running around. Any little airscotia's?
CHOCOLATE. That's what my problem is. Haven't had my fix today. No wonder.
Good evening

the missing ingredient..The incas may have been great builders but i think you and ithem for a rather more selfish reason.
There are three little airscotias all boys, and all smarter than dad..(they do all like airplanes too)
Good evening

Hurrary for the Incas and the Mayans and the Aztecs! and zero. What more could we need?

Thanks for the birthday wishes! And the pressies! The was delicious and the perfectly chilled.
Went to my friends' graduation yesterday. Think I'll get them gift certificates for a local bookshop now that they'll have time for fun reading instead of those textbooks.
Three little nippers. My parents had four when they were my age. I'd like to have kids but honestly can't imagine what having that many of them around would be like.
to you & yours. Thanks again for the birthday party.
Good evening

Got some DVDs and a bottle of wine and some perfume and some Costa Rica things from a friend who just went on vacation. Not too bad.
The Costa Rica friend also has her birthday in May, so we'll probably go out next week.
How was yours? It was Sunday, right?
My phone line & internet connection were zapped in the weekend storms. Had to call in a trouble ticket from my landlady's phone and everything. The tech said, 'It's basically unusable.' I wanted to ask him to tell me something I didn't know.
Good evening
airscotia-back by popular demand Posted May 14, 2003
I saw the storms reported on the news,it looked awful, glad you suffered nothing worse than a bit of interruption.
Birthday went fine,i think i over-indulged slightly but you're only 39 once,right?.
I shudder to think what next year will be like, but i'm not looking forward to being old.I've reached that point in life where i'd like my time over, not so i didn't make the same mistakes, just that i enjoyed making them.
Fresh pot of,and some birthdayif you'd like some.
