Emee, out from under the rock Posted Apr 24, 2003
I've lived in the same apartment now for seven years and have no intentions of moving anytime soon. Still like to travel though. Haven't seen much of the east coast except Washington, DC. On my list of places to go: UK, most of the rest of Europe, Cambodia, Instanbul, Seoul again.
The is perfect.

Travel broadens the mind, unless you're a lorry driver then it just broadens your butt.
Soeul again? the mysterious east.
(U.K.) this is a pet hate of mine,i am a not a uk'r or whatever the term is.Somebody in high places is trying to dump this (uk) tag on me and i'm not amused.I even put the term in brackets in case it infects the rest of the sentance.Scot, welsh, irish, english ,Brit anything but (uk).I recently bought a new car and the salesman asked me if i wanted (uk) plates
Gets off soapbox calms down
Gonna neednow
Can i get you one?
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Apr 24, 2003
Office work broadens your butt, too.
'bout the UK thing. Just remember to keep breathing. I really do want to see Ireland (both parts), Scotland, Wales and everything in between. What other plates were on offer?
I'd love a .
Good evening

Your drink m'lady.
GB plates there the ones for me,i think that people have a hang-up over Great Britain cause it has colonial overtones but originally it was only to tell us apart from Brittany.
Its a great shame that it's becoming un pc-to love your country, not in a nationalistic way but just patriotism.
you'd love Bitain-we even have snow.

Phew what a day,,
What with having to update my journal and some great news on the "High life" front i may well have to give up work to keep up on here.
Havn't even had time to post on the threads!
But enough of me how u?
You Should read Copperfield(or watch the film),one of Charlies best.
As you post from work i guess you will be missing at the weekend yeah?
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Apr 28, 2003
Yep. I sometimes go online at home but was out most of the weekend. Went to a theatre party Friday then out to the pub & karaoke.
Satuday went to a couple movies. I can recommend 'Confidence'. Yesterday I slept in and then took a nap.
I really hate it when RL interferes with posting.

It's just one big social whirl with you isn't it?.I've heard you mention theatre parties a few times,i don't think i've heard of them, but i'd guess a production and
to follow?.
And as for karaoke,do you get up and sing, cos i know i'd never have the nerve for that no matter how much.
I did watch a film this weekend though, "The dish" i've had it on dvd for a while but only just got around to watching it,and it was just the sort of gentle humour i enjoy .
I know you are a big movie buff and this is going to be a nightmare question, but, what are your fav. films(you can do it by catagory if it makes it easier)
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Apr 28, 2003
This was a fundraiser party. So lots o' and nibbles. If it weren't for theatre parties after productions, I'd have no social life at all. Of course I sing karaoke.
It does help to be
though. Didn't sing this time - was the driver for my poor completely soaked friend who was starting to fall down.
Let's see - fave movies. I'll have to do categories. In no particular order...
Sci-fi/fantasy: Star Wars IV-VI, Matrix, LoTR (both & probably the 3rd), X-Men (or is that action?)
Hmm... must think about this. More to follow.
Good evening

Do you know(and i'm ashamed to say this)that even as a sci-fi fan i took against the hype of starwars at an early age and have never watched one film..
Fav. sci-fi would be a very close thing between "Blade runner" and "Dark star"with the latter just edging it.,with "silent running" a very close third.
Theres and
on the side,help yourself.
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Apr 28, 2003
for
&
!
Also liked 2001, but haven't seen it in ages. I can understand the Star Wars thing. I was young enough when the originals came out that the hype didn't find me. The new ones are carp & were compelely over-sold.
Drama: The English Patient, Casablanca, The Great Escape - I know I'm leaving something out... hmm...
Good evening

I've only seen Oklahoma twice. Once on video and once live at an open-air theatre. The dream sequence has got to go.
Terminator 2 was good. Never saw the first one for some reason.

I'm a sucker for anything sentimental(just call me pathos pete),if its funny one minute and sad the next,i'm hooked.
As a kid i always wanted to grow up to be the Jimmy Stewart character, rather than the action hero.
Another?or perhaps
?
Good evening
Emee, out from under the rock Posted Apr 30, 2003
I'll take , thanks.
I'm not so into the sentimental movies. I don't like to be tempted to cry in public.
Other movies on the list:
Like them because they don't take themselves seriously:
The 5th Element
The Mummy
The Mummy Returns
Key: Complain about this post
