hi kat
-
you should know by now that the book and film are never anywhere near, if its an american book it will be miles out
-
an example (british, in evry film of sherlock holmes, he says a least once elemetary my dear watson, read and like the specald band, baskerville, and h=its in none of conans books.
-
the latest is the war of the worlds, the machines in the original are like swans, the design was well infront of the future, now look at the yuck in the latest version, need i say more.
-
if you watch and read (the longest day)film by daryl f zanuck, they are near, but again the american part was overdone, with john whane, red buttons, greg peck to name a few.
-
since ive been messaging you, i remeber things i thought ide long forgotten.
-
in 1996 while in the army i was hit with a rifle, and suffered blackout for a few days,i came out a week later, but because my mother had a bad heart attack.
-
a year later i realised i had lost some memeory and had a gap from about when i was 8 to 11,i pasted my old school i went to most days, but couldnt remeber anything about teachers, pupils, nothing.since 1980.s i seem to lose more from the 70.s, now its from the late 90,s,the war of the worlds was in the 70.s i think, so its a flash from messaging you lolsmiley - discojimxx

My next door neighbour is having a party and they are all ready starting to have loud agrguments.smiley - yikes When I ever have parties, they are very quiet.

-

smiley - cheersJim another one I watched was Lost Horizon but it was not the one made in the 1930's as it was in colour.

I remember seeing the Quatermass films both black & white and colour. I have also seen the television series.

The children of the Dammed was another one I saw and it was very eeire.smiley - yikes

Films I have seen where the old and the new when a man turned a spider, one when went smaller and finally vanished were very scary. Also a film where man had x-rays which eventually turned him blind.

I do not remember much about the other films but if I watched them again, but I would like to see them again.smiley - smiley

smiley - cheerssmiley - taJim

Here id what I found in the Lost Horizon Link (1973) This retelling of the classic tale of James Hilton's Utopian lost world plays out uneasily amid musical production numbers and Bacharach pop music. While escaping war-torn China, a group of Europeans crash in the Himalayas, where they are rescued and taken to the mysterious Valley of the Blue Moon, Shangri-La. Hidden from the rest of the world, Shangri-La is a haven of peace and tranquility for world-weary diplomat Richard Conway. His ambitious brother, George, sees it as a prison from which he must escape, even if it means risking his life and bringing destruction to the ancient culture of Shangri-La.

smiley - cheerssmiley - taThanks for the Doctor Who restoration link. I have read people all over the world have found old Doctor Who film reels in the most unusual places.

I know apart from Tom Baker and Colin Baker, there was another Baker (related with Doctor Who) and he was a writer but I do not know his full name.
