PS- since we're crashing over by the puppies tonight, I'll see if I can glom you a Geezers t-shirt too, and double your fun.

Is it OK to ship textiles internationally? They're free of larvae, etc, I assure you. smiley - winkeye

Certainly true withsmiley - cat; maybe not withsmiley - dog Yoda is no problem.

Skanky is BIG & STRONG & getting more so & needs discipline. He is getting that from 3 male humans; he doesn't really take me seriously as far as telling off is concerned; me be nice mummy, he needs the nasty daddy thing also....not nasty as in actually hurting him, but certainly as in "OY!!! you are NOT the boss!"

It may be the voice stuff, it may even be language; he responds to french "NON!" type commands more than english ones.

yep, dog's world is, the leader of the pack, you shout, I'm not Alpha male, so your boss...cats, ok maybe I will, but then again, who knows, I'll think about it. But I've thought about it and my eyes are telling me whose boss, so I bid you a very good night/morning Terri and I'll catch you later, sweet dreams when you hit the pillow(make sure doors locked)don't trust foreignerssmiley - winkeye

Herman is getting so spoiled that the other evening, when he was yowling from the other room (as he does any time we leave a room and leave him behind-- oh, the indignation!) and we called to him "we're in here, buddy", he craned his neck and peeked around the corner, waited for me to make eye contact, than flopped down on the floor and meowed most piteously... it seems he wanted one of us to walk into the other room and *carry* him to the couch. smiley - laugh

He's also taken to staring at me while I'm eating, in hopes of getting my egg yolk (I hate yolks smiley - yuk) or some cheese. The goofy smiley - cat likes macaroni & cheese, noodles and all.

Herman sounds very like my smiley - blackcat Azar. That guy is such a ham! He'll often come into the living room plaintively meowing for food and once we give him some will ignore it and start going 'all cute' on us, meaning that he actually wanted us to pay attention and make a big fuss over him.

Sunny is more of a smiley - dog though he can be a smiley - cat when he chooses to. But he is just so lovely. Whenever people come to visit he makes a big fuss over them so that, of course, they can then acknowledge him as the centre of the universe.

Not sure if I've told you this story before (if so, bear with me) but I once had a student, a mid-thirties woman, who was terrified of cats. Well, imagine her discomfort when she started coming here for classes and discovered I had three of them! And they *would not* be put out of the room when Nati came, so eventually she relaxed enough to have the three of them sitting around in the same room while she was here. But of course, Sunny did his doggy thing, coming over and butting his huge head against her leg and wanting her to pet him.

At first this made her totally freeze in fear. So I would shoo Sunny away. But then at the end of the class I would pick Sunny up and ask Nati if she wanted to touch him. At first she didn't, then she would hold out one finger and stroke his chubby belly. Then it got so that at the end of the class she would say - 'Where's Sunny?' After about three months I actually ended up with photos of Nati holding a big fat Sunny cat in her arms! smiley - biggrin Isn't that wonderful? Nati even asked for copies of the photos because she said her family and friends wouldn't believe it otherwise. And she ended up calling Sunny her favourite cat in the whole world. smiley - ok

Awww, that's so sweet! Sunny sounds like a lovely cat. Well, all of your kitties sound lovely, but Sunny sounds especially lovable.

Some people are a bit put off by Herman when they first meet him, or they feel really sorry for him. But he's all right, he just craves attention and is really the happiest little guy.

He's not so pleased at the moment, I've just washed all the floors. I use castile on the wood floors, so they dry fairly quickly, but he dislikes wet paws and is pretty scared of the mop head.

I just have to add that as far as the listening to CDs all the way through in alphabetical order is still going well, we're about halfway through the "C"s- this morning while cleaning, we've heard the Chills, Alex Chilton, Chocolate Watch Band, and the Chords. smiley - ok

Oh, and Herman recently developed a new way of going "all cute" on us... he rolls onto his back and folds his paws across his belly, looking like a little beached baby seal. I can't wait to get you guys some photos of him... too bad I don't know hwo to get video online, so you all could see his dinosaur walk, with his tail swishing like a fuzzy rudder. smiley - laugh
