Briefs can be men's or women's. Women's also have thongs, bikini, and bikini-brief hybrid, and who knows what all else. I like nice cotton briefs. And when I speak of them, I call them my underwear. We both know that "underwear" refers to "underpants", because otherwise we call the various bits "bras", "t-shirts" (or undershirts) in his case, "long johns" for the winter stuff, and "union suit" for K's bright red one-piece long underwear getup. Union suits aren't my thing- possibly not popular with most women- they make it impossible to pee.

It's also a pain to try to pee when wearing a one-piece bathing suit, unless you push the middle bit (I also despise the word "crotch") to the side. And then you risk getting your hand wet. smiley - yuk

Might I add how much I hate thongs, too? I can't see the point of buying underwear designed to wedge itself in my buttcrack when some days you spend the entire day pulling underwear *out* of there. smiley - winkeye

And I guess "y-fronts" are also known as "tighty whities". Most women speak of them as if they're a bad thing. I prefer my guy in tighty whities... they accentuate all of the good bits. smiley - evilgrin

Edward the Bonobo - Gone.

Ah...Union Suits. Are they the same as BDMs? The boyfriend of a (male) friend used to have one (apparently)- the kind where the flap unbuttons at the back. I believe they got something of an erotic charge out of it. Can't think why.

Errr...aren't you meant to peel the swimsuit down?

That is WAY too much work, especially trying to get my rather erm, ample, breasts back inside properly. Especially when the swimsuit's wet. smiley - yuk

You might. And I shall join you. Honestly, who wants to walk around all day with a strip of elastic or thin stretchy cloth stuck between up their cheeks?

And while I'm sure that last pair you linked to is comfy, it looks freaky.

You guys have no idea how cool it is being able to spend 25% of my workday chatting about underpants. smiley - laugh It's the simple things, y'know?

Animal, you're right, of course. Good things come in small packages. Just ask Edward. smiley - winkeye

I own camoflauge undies- bra and bottoms. Not so much for hiding in forests, but because my better half thinks I look cute in camo. smiley - smiley

Several weeks ago, someone said it was insensitive of me to feel concerned about the impact of this hurricane season on the price of heating gas. Just to show that my worry wasn't unjustified, I live in the Midwest, and they're forecasting a 50% increase over last winter. Bearing in mind that K and I prefer to be a bit on the cool side, and downright chilly for sleeping, and keep the thermostat set between 63 and 66 (which would barely be legal if we didn't control our own heat)... last winter I averaged $175 a month, and January's bill was nearly $300. So, this year I get to look forward to paying between $100 and $450 a MONTH just to heat my (albeit large) six-room-one-bath apartment. K and I do all right, moneywise, but still, that's a HELLUVA lot of money to spend on heating alone. smiley - cross

Sue me if it's insensitive of me to be concerned about my own financial well-being. smiley - tongueout

Hell, no! With my luck, I'd likely wind up with poison ivy in the most undesirable places. smiley - crosssmiley - winkeye

PS- hope Edward's not offended that I teased his package. He pokes fun at it all the time.

Well, if you can tease his package from 3,000 miles away it can't be *that* small . . .
