The Chills and the Chords are decent enough, the Chills being late-80s-early-90s indie pop type stuff, and the Chords being failry mod/punk-y. Chocolate Watch Band is some late 60s psychedelic stuff, which I'm actually kind of new to.
Alex Chilton is one of my all-time favorite artists. We'd listened to "Like Flies on Sherbet" and "Live in London", a double CD I'd found a year or so ago in a bargain bin, of all places!
Our kitties do all seem to have quirky personalities. Must be *something* about us!
Was that a photo of Sunny, Az? What a gorgeous !!

Oh, they are both so gorgeous!!
Herman is much cubbier, and fuzzier, than those two handsome s. But I'm sure he'd love them. Yoda, on the other hand, I don't think would have much patience with poor Herman.
K's cat Kita died just a little while before we started dating, she was such a good friend to him. And his old roommates' cats were two finicky females who beat the crap out of the poor little guy. (And no, we're not allowed to use the "s" word, but he is! ) I really wanted that three-legged kitty, but the girls at the shelter wouldn't part with him.

Just posted on the fokti site; yes, they are SOOOOOOOOOO lovely!!!
I think Yoda probably would have patience with Herman, she tends to sigh heavily & swipe when getting severely hassled; but in general is used to strange & boisterous animals invading; if she can cope with skankydawg,& previously Mooon; Herman would be a doddle!

It's the time ofthe Chinese Autumn Festival...and therefore of moon cakes. Imagine a Melton Mowbray pork pie - only with a filling of sweetened red bean paste.
Oh...we're wearing anagrams for Hallowe'en, apparently. But I'm sure you can work out who I am.

I figured it out just a few minutes ago. Will have to work out a Hallowe'en anagram for myself...

Google 'anagram'. Various places will do it for you.

What a personal remark Edward "various places will do it for you"

Incidentally, would you be at all interested in Vol. 3 of those "Thai Beats" CDs?

Edward the Bonobo - Gone. Posted Oct 18, 2005
Ah! Thanks for reminding me my neigbour still has vols 1&2.
Thanks for the offer...but realistically, 2 vols is enough for any sane collection. Utterly fantastic though they are, sometimes less is more.
So...what do yo want of mine? Some Libertines/ Babyshambles? Or I've just downloaded some Arctic Monkeys, who are meant to be the big, hyped newcomers de nos jours? I'm not sure I can track down Jan Garbarek in my travesty of a filing system.
Hmmm...I feel a mix CD coming on...

On the theme of insane CD collections...my friend Gunnar is heavily into electronica...or should that be spelled elektronika? He has framed, vintage Kraftwerk posters and even does bicycle road racing.
Anyway...amongst his wall ful of CDs - and it must be way over 500 - *all* electronica/elektronika, he has about 13 albums by Laibach - which is surely about 12.8 more than anyone could possibly need.
Naturally, his collection is alphabetised with Teutonic efficiency .

I think two volumes of Thai Beats would've been sufficient for me as well, but I've got this anal-retentive need to have *every* volume in a numbered set... go figure. It goes along with the obsessive alphabetical/chronological filing system.
A mix CD sounds cool. I wouldn't be so cruel as to send you hunting through *your* obtuse filing system in search of anything specific... you probably have a good idea of what I like, so surprise me?
So, while on the subject of music, we know that my impulse purchase of the Stereophonics fell flat- I really am not impressed with them. The Killers, however, are cute and fun and OK for my purposes. So, do I give in to the urge to buy (used, but still over $5 apiece) copies of the Franz Ferdinand CDs, or is the novelty going to wear off the minute I've got them in hand?

Wow, Liabach, haven't heard them in a long time. I think I still have the 12" of "Gebert Einer Nation" (sp?). And I had another single, which was a cover they did of something I can't recall just now...
...and I think those two tunes are all the Laibach *I* need.
