I can't believe it. I'm here.
I was reading on S2G2 about the journal a day thingy and I'd like to try it.
It's so nice to be back in a familiar place. I was off work during the transition period so had a lot of free time to spend online and found myself messing about on S2G2. That Noesis place was nice enough but as Dorothy once said 'There's no place like home'.
Honey, I'm home.

Today I had the privilege of being present at the birth of a new religion. This is the gospel according to Fizzy.
I went to work today and it was a good day. When I went to address the Computer Monitor it was without life. It was dead, dead as any parrot. No amount of pressing buttons and checking cables could bring that baby to life. Verily I cried out to the inscrutable, unflappable, rock that is Dr Dickens and that other gatekeeper of all that is technology, Master of the Time Machine.
The great and mighty tried and tried to resuscitate the one called Visdis but neither could restore the life-giving power to my only communication vehicle in work, the reason for my very being there. Visdis was indeed dead.
The Lord of the office was called and she spake. “The Visdis is dead, I shall take it at once from this place and return with a working model”. That she did. The Visdis was lifted from it’s place on the podium called hard-drive and lifted skywards while all earthly links were disconnected. It was taken and placed on the vacant podium also called hard-drive but no mouse, keypad or phone was there at that place, it was without life, very quiet and generally vacant-looking.
The replacement Computer Monitor was plugged in and from it’s brightly lit visual display I retrieved the number for the Moss Brigade, prophets for all that is IT.
I rang them for the Lord had said “Speak ye to IT and tell them of this disaster that has befallen our place of work”.
I told Moss that Visdis was dead but Moss spake “Nay, Visdis is not dead but only sleeping, for it is written”.
The Lord whispered “It is dead, that is not a sleep, no Visdis did ever sleep like a coma, it is dead”
I sayeth “cancel the last rites, Visdis lives”.
Lo and behold, when Visdis was re-attached to the life-giving cables at the dark unworkable work station an amber glow appeared. I touched the amber light and felt power as it turned swiftly to green and Visdis became animated and filled with life again.
Resurrection, the basis of this religion, beat the previous record by some considerable time, only 18 hours between death and resurrection, we say meh to 3 days.
Visdis lives, praise be!
