well, he's a drawn animation, so it is a bit difficult, if he was plasticene it might have been a bit easier to animate him. I dunno, I haven't tried any plasticene animation yet, hoping to do that with our final project which is coming up.

NPY Posted Feb 17, 2004
like a wallace and gromit idea? i've heard it takes ages to do one of those cos you have to move them so little every time. any ideas yet for what they're gonna be like??
Hey again!
Kaz Posted Feb 24, 2004
Yeah, I have this whole idea about how people behave in conversations and I'm hoping to develop that a bit. Thought about looking at phone conversations too cos people will wave their hands about and stuff on the phone, even though the other person can't see them.-Daft isn't it, when you think about it!
And, some people might prefer talking on the phone because there isn't that whole judgmental thing going on, about the way you look, etc. And, there are people who prefer talking face to face cos stuff is less likely to be misconstrued.
Not sure on characters yet, but we'll see how it goes.
Fingers crossed!
Hey again!
NPY Posted Feb 26, 2004
sounds interesting. that's a good point though - why do people flap their hands around when they're on the phone anyway?? it's so stupid.
Hey again!
Kaz Posted Mar 9, 2004
Tis a bit daft isn't it?
Maybe its cause if your're on the phone you're still listening to the voice of someone you know and its like they're in the room with you, so unconciously you behave as if they actually were?
...hmmm...Does that make sense?
Did you say you were doing Psychology? surely you must know about all this kind of stuff?
Hey again!
NPY Posted Mar 10, 2004
unfortunately we never did anything on body language. people think that coz you're doing psychology you know what they're thinking and why and they sort of stop all movement. i'm not telepathic!! there's loads of stuff we haven't done, think i'd have to spend the rest of my life studying it to find out everything.
Hey again!
Kaz Posted Mar 10, 2004
You're probably right.
Are you saying you didn't do any stuff on body language because people knew that you were doing psychology so they got all nervy and thought you could read minds, so they stopped moving.... so, any research you would have done would have been a waste of time?
That's an incredibly long sentence, I'm sorry, I just wasn't quite sure what you meant.
Or was it just the fact that you didn't get round to looking at that kind of stuff because there wasn't time?
Hey again!
NPY Posted Mar 16, 2004
it just never came up in any of our modules. iour lectureers never covered it, so there was no point reading up on it. no time to anyway. got too much coursework to do at the moment anyway.
Hey again!
Kaz Posted Mar 20, 2004
hmm yeah. I know what you mean. I've got stuff coming out of my ears at the moment. I'm trying to finish off my set for my animation for Monday so I can start shooting it. I'm already behind as it is!

Hey again!
Kaz Posted May 8, 2004
I'm sure you'll be fine. It is great when you get stuff finished like that. Bit surreal though isn't it? afterwards, cos you have nothing to do!
hey... 42 Pages??
That's lucky. You've got The Answer there. You're bound to be ok!
Hey again!
NPY Posted May 9, 2004
well i hope it's ok anyway...just hope the 42 thing is a good sign.
only realised that after i'd posted my last post. it's so wierd to be free of it....7 months work.....scary.
but hey...the fun's continuing...i've an exam on tuesday and another on saturday...but after that i'll be truely free from uni. EEEKKK!!!!!!!
Hey again!
Kaz Posted May 11, 2004
Saturday?????
Hey, that's a bit unfair!
Good luck. I hope it goes well.

Hey again!
NPY Posted May 12, 2004
thanks. think i need all the luck i can get. and that was a lovely .
yeah, sat is a yucky day to have an exam on. and to make it even more fun, there's a big motorbike race that day and the course hgoes right past the uni. and it'll mean roads'll be closed too. one of the manuy mysteries of life is why they've put exams that day.
Hey again!
Kaz Posted May 18, 2004
Yeah, bit of a distraction. You're trying to do an exam and all you get is *makes zoom motorbike noises* going past the window!
Crazy.
Hey again!
NPY Posted May 30, 2004
actually didn't hear the bikes till i got outside the uni, but a helicopter went over a couple of times. probably the news guys or something, but it was so annoying.
but i don't care now....so long as i've passed that's me finished uni
Hey again!
Kaz Posted Jun 1, 2004
yeah. I hope it goes ok for you, good luck.
Did you mean the news guys covering the race? (I'm guessing here)
I just wasn't sure what you meant.
Hey again!
NPY Posted Jun 14, 2004
yeah the guys covering the race. i know it made it onto the local news, but i dunno bout the national news. you never hear of the north west 200 motorbike race outside northern ireland?
