Well done!! In my German aural the teacher burst into laughter and had to go and have a drink of water.

In my french one I went so pale that the teacher thought I was going to faint....

And in German I started hiccuping.

it was GCSE and i did Vacances and Loisirs (check spelling).

i have my German oral on Friday, so i hope i can do as well!

Congratulation Listy Lou on your success on your exams. I am only at the very basic level - basic tourist phrases. I wonder if I will ever get any further and take exams in French. Do you think I am too old to learn French at 40?

Congratulations Spook on your passing your French exams. Is it a hard language to learn as I am trying to learn it myself. I will try and go to French further education classes in September.

French was my best subject at school too, I remember. I didn't carry it on to A-level, though, as Science always interested me more.

I had my German speaking on friday, and apparently did very well. I was really lucky, our teacher found out yesterday that the microphone had broken so most of our classes exams didn't get recorded. I was the last one before it broke, all but me and 5 others have to redo theirs! I feel guilty about being so happy about it...

I failed completely on my French exam, it's hopeless.

I am in my final year of undergraduate studies in French and German at uni so my level of the two languages is much more advanced. I got an award in French when I was in secondary school for all the four years that I took it. It was also my favourite subject!

Now my favourite language is German!! And I have my French and German oral exam next week! wish me luck! I find German to be really challenging to learn as it's harder than French (in my opinion), and sounds better

for some reason i was dumb enough to take both French and German when i don't like other languages.

i'd have been happy with my life if i only knew 5 languages:
