Hoovooloo

I got an A in my French oral, all those many, many years ago.

One good tip when doing an oral exam is to avoid lying to or about the teacher.

In fact, a good tip for life in general is to avoid lying, and if you are caught out in a lie, to take it back and apologise.

Not everyone has learned this lesson, even by Tango's age, apparently. Possibly because people they've lied about in the past haven't bothered to pursue them for an apology.

Not everyone just lets things like lies about them go.

Well to me it's very hard, and German and Sweden is the same language tree so it's easier, plus I really think French is boring.

Just English and French. I do stink at French but I make up for that with being very good at English.

I hate to bring you down but:

I've been doing French orals for years; I still can't see where I'm going wrong! Yes, French can be very hard.

Ah you sure your teacher didn't say "eh????"

I'm sure you are not *cough* immature; everybody knows that orals are often a subject which is open to misinterpretation. Just ask that nice girl Monica.

smiley - zensmiley - devilTerri

ps: did you say post 19 or 29? (Numbers, there's another dodgy subject!)

Nitina the Pig (see my new personal space!)

I always found French really easy at school and was my favourite subject. But after all those years studying French and still studying French now at uni, I prefer German now! I also speak Greek and Armenian. Greek is quite hard to learn but not as hard as Armenian. The Armenian language does not really have any roots from any other language and has one of the longest alphabets.

I grew up with both Greek and Armenian (as you can guess, I come from a mixed marriage, one major advantage) so it was really easy to pick it up and can imagine how hard it would be to learn Armenian as a foreign language.

Lou, (Listy) Not around too much, don't be offended if I don't reply.. I'LL TRY!

I Just also did My French Exam and I forgot what to say twice but he said I did fine... smiley - smiley

WOOHOO
I did French, and German (English being first language) and found German the hardest - easier to pronounce but too much grammar!

I learnt Ancient Greek for a few months... gave up when I realised I needed childcare experience for my prospective teaching career and that the one time I could do that was at the same time as my lesson...
