I can't make look at ALL like a toffeeapple, even if i squint...
Do we have a mufflewhump prepared to pretend to be a toffee apple for us?
Oh well, close I suppose.

Does it matter that I've never seen any of them? The only obsolete games I know were Atari games...

Sorry, didn't realize that another page had started since ANDROKTONE asked me if I wanted to adopt a computer game...

You can use atari games.. basically anything that is no longer being sold qualifies - they all need to be adopted and loved
If you want one go to my or Pods' page and follw the link to the OBSOLETE COMPUTER GAME page and choose a game (or nominate a new one)
and I'll give you an Adoption Certificate to put on your page

By the time I come home tonight, I am going to think that all ants are martians

If i was a private detective I suppose it would be OK for me to keep a bottle of whisky in my drawer
But..
I drink redbull at work instead. I write very fast databases

I do like the odd glass of Armagnac at work, along with a Tesco's Pickled Lama and Sea Cucumber sandwich on Walnut and Mung Bean bread. I find that my performance improves quite a bit with the odd Absinth chaser. I keep the sugar lumps in a filing cabinet. My databases (yes, I meddle with the infernal things) tend to be somewhat meandering, but they are so confusing that no one dares touch them except me. So, in the end everyone is happy

Do you think the mufflewhumps would help?
Meandering databases are great. In fact, in access, i find it practically impossible to write anything else. Unless it is some trivial thing for admin...
This is you after drinking absinthe >

That made me giggle
I like all the access-excel stuff, thats pretty smooth. I don't like that access won't automatically rename a table or a query, and it doesn't have any sort of directory structure, so if you are trying to build something organically (i can't do it from scratch, i have to work outwards changing bits as i go) as soon as it gets to reasonable size you start losing queries or forgetting what does what and getting muddles. I've taken to numbering them and writing huge documents to decipher them with

Writing documents is good
I have learned how to write very precise and logical working documents that clearly explain why I haven't done any actual changes to the database for at least six months.

We have to do time and motion studies on ourselves!
This is all deeply amusing and of course mean that we can get out of doing any actual work while completing the time and motion study.
8.00am to 10.00am Reformat the font on time and motion study document
10.00am to 10.30am Tea break
10.30am - 12.00 am Calculate amount of time spent on teabreak and devise alternate route back through the office to cut down on time spent travelling to and from said teabreak.
12.00am to 13.00am lunch
Rest of the afternoon spent analysing calorific content of lunch and suggesting alternate recipes thatmight make me feel less sleepy...

08:00 Arrive at office
08:05: Hide.
13:00-14:00: Eat cake.
14:00-17:00: Hide.
17:00 Run into carpark, flailing arms and whooping like one who has lost their reason entirely.
