I'd certainly be interested in seeing this email - as that is, unfortunately, at odds with the copy of all of the emails I've sent in the last two years. Copies of the two emails sent to you by h2g2 Feedback also seems to contradict this assertion. The only confirmation I've made about Yikesing here or in emails is that Blickybadger *didn't*. Something he himself had already confirmed.

There seems to be very little to be gained from continuing this conversation that won't result in slapped legs all round. While I have to keep an eye on all this bickering, other things are not getting done. Can I politely request that you guys back off now? You've already stated your case here.

Fair enough, Jimster. But a question.

If you discovered there were people going around on h2g2 (which has become like a second home to me) telling lies about yourself and your friends, how would you deal with it? Just ignore them and hope they go away? Even if you knew that on some threads they were being taken at their word?

At other times there have been various threads disputing this problem with Della and Apparition. Now it seems to have come down to this one thread where people involved can speak their minds and 'debate' the issue. I don't actually see it as simply bickering. Though some *could* be a bit more polite about it (listening up, blicky? you too, FB). I agree that name calling and insults are no way to conduct a debate. But I do see this thread as a debate forum for people who have been affected by lies told by Della and Apparition and this is their means to attempt to have those lies shown up for what they are.

I really don't take it all hugely seriously or anything, though it is annoying, but this thread seems to have turned into *the* debate thread about this issue. And I think it is better to have it going on here than all over the place, though I am sorry it means extra work for you. But it really was much 'messier' before.

Does that make any sense?

One small point, I have been trying for some weeks to find out the insult, I have now found it. In London it is a mixed term, depending on who says it about whom. It denotes a white person who wishes they were black, on a simpler note any white person with dreadlocks. It can be used as an insult, but also in an affectionate way. The term has already died out here, but Beckham was called one by the media for some time. I believe it originated in the student population in the US.

The insult was made sometime before last Christmas, I believe. The death threat was made more recently.

To be very fair on Della (as she was then), that racist term isn't actually that well-known as racist. A friend of mine is a club promoter and when I explained that the name of one of his nights was deeply racist he was befuddled as he'd assumed it simply referred to 1970s wigs that loads of people wear on the nights themselves. In that case, I suspect it's a good thing that a term created as racist has evolved into one with such a daft meaning. As Lennie Bruce was fond of saying, it'd be a better world if words like that lost their meaning and became nonsense.

I'd use moderation. But then, you knew I'd say that. I'm not sure if you're aware, but the in-house team have been victims of abuse by a small number of individuals over the last few months. At the end of the day, we're not God, we're not your parents and we're not paid to take abuse off spiteful children; we're just normal people doing a job, and the abuse we received says more about the abusers than us. But enough complaints were received from members of the community for us to feel justified in taking action.

I personally feel that similarly, prolonging this debate is beginning to reflect badly on everyone. It does have the air of a band of villagers brandishing torches. Even if, on closer inspection, some of the torches are actually candles...

You see, this is why I said that I won't talk to Della now outside this more 'public' thread. I don't want it spreading out all over the place again. She started another thread on my page the other day and I immediately posted that thread link here. I'd prefer it all to be as up front as possible.

I do realise that in one sense it seems like just a silly spat. On the other hand, I don't want to be lied about here on this site. Which I think is a reasonable thing to to wish for.

Thats why I made my posting about the insult, it is not always used as an insult. I tried to make that point.

Kaz, that was pretty much what I said to Adelaide at the time, but she called me a liar and said I was trying to twist what she had said.

I was trying to give her a heads up and not caling her racist rather telling how she might use better language to avoud being called a racist.

We already had a testy relationship at that time to say the least, but I have never lied to her or anyone else here. So I dont know for sure why she did not hold her tongue before calling me a liar. I dont know for sure why she did not investigate a little deeper or accept my assurances that I did not invade her dead brothers PS, as I have never done anything like that ever.

More importantly I dont know why she and others try to insist that things that did happen did not and vice verse. Why she and her clan try to make myself and others out to be somethings we are not, when on all these counts I can provide links that prove them wrong

I do enjoy this little game though and as I said before when she stops bowling these googlies I'll head back to the pavillion myself.

So someone asked if I had yikesed them or a certain post and you said I didnt. Then DMM asked or you told someone else who is not related to DMM (who is not APPY by the way) and they told DMM what was in your confidential email and one of them was so stupid or DMM was that stupid all by himself and he does have that capacity (a lot like The Wraith, but he's not him either)that they could not tell the difference between did and *didnt*

I cant type and it makes me sad some times but not being able to read....that must be a real bind.

Maybe they could get some lessons of Adelaide allegedly she is a special needs teacher.

Wow I didnt complain to anyone about anyone. EVERYTHING ive posted about this can be seen unless some yikesed it.

Thing is others and that's plural which means more than one person, did, but not me.

I knew you had trouble with your understanding but come on this is really simple read it again and see how it does not infere my participation. Infact it says that I had nothing to do with the complaints. It says I have said my peice you can find it on the "Official complaint" thread.
