Headlines we'd like to see

The classic amusing headline is "Bridge held up by red tape."

Some more contemporary ones might be:

"Three Afghans Involved in Coverup"

"Local Seamstresses say 'Sew What?' to Fabric Shortage"

Two more dreams: Sarcastic Indians and Trapped in a private school

Have you ever wondered what the American Indians
*really* thought about the European settlers and
their descendants? If my dream is any indication,
then the answer is: not much.

I dreamed that I found a rare patch of virgin forest
in New England, and decided to explore it. There was a
path leading deeper and deeper into the woods. Finally, I
heard voices, so I hid behind some bushes and looked
in the direction from which the voices were coming.
I saw about twenty American Indians sitting around
a campfire. They must have eluded detection for the last
400 years, but they sure had our number! Also, they seem
to have learned English (maybe there were tribes of
English-speaking Indians in America long before the
English actually arrived to settle? smiley - erm).

This group of Indians were trashing our contemporary
books, our mass media, and pretty much everything about
our society and culture. I can't say that I disagreed
with them very much, but it was all very disconcerting smiley - sadface.
These were very smart people!

Last night, I dreamed that I went into a private school
that was all contained in one very large building, counting
numerous wings and add-ons.

Every so often, I would blunder into a forbidden wing, and
encounter sirens and flashing lights and severe punishment
from the powers that be. smiley - sadface I'm not sure if I was there
to teach, or be a student, or bring a message to someone
who was already there. When I tried to leave the place,
I blundered back into the forbidden wing, and finally just
fled through a fire exit. smiley - run

Another weird dream: marrying Karen

I dreamed that I was planning to marry
Karen, a girl that I knew in high school.
We were going to move to Cape Cod to live
after the ceremony.

There was just one little problem with my wedding
plans: Karen didn't know anything about the wedding.
When she did find out, she came storming in to
announce that she was not well enough to marry me. smiley - erm

Well, it would have been a sparsely attended wedding
anyway, because I realized that I hadn't sent out any
invitations. smiley - yikes

Sitting in a diner with the royal family....

My weird dreams continue to push the edge of the envelope. smiley - erm

Last night, I dreamed I walked into a diner, just ahead of
a guy who intended to rob the place. The thief paid no attention
to me, but raided the cash register and then fled on foot.
There were no other people in the diner at the time. I waited for
the police cars to come. When they arrived, they went to the
restaurant next door, which had also been robbed, but they never
seemed to realize that the diner I was in had been robbed.

Some other customers came in as a group: the British Royal Family,
but not any well-known members of it, except for the Queen Mother.
The Queen Mother was very nice to me; in fact, she gave me some
substantial gifts of cash to add to my trust funds. The others paid no attention to me. All they seemed to care about was deciding which
hook on the wall would be the best place to hang their hats. smiley - erm
