This was *not* the darkest dream I've had. I don't talk about the really dark ones.

not on a funny side, but to be seriouswhen my son and daughter were young and they had the bad dream saga, as kids do - I told them that I DON'T have bad dreams, because "Animal" (muppets and me/my nickname) appeared and ripped the heads of bad dreams and that if they had a bad dream, Animal would drive it awaythey never had a bad dream since.
bad dreams are negative and I NEVER have negative thoughts

many people do - and ponder on why life is so bad

I agree completely! However, when I'm asleep I don't have as much control as when I'm awake. Usually I don't *know* I'm dreaming, so whatever dream I'm having seems like something that's really happening. The closest I can come to controlling my dreams is to only mention the ones with odd or amusing implications. I won't impose the dark, terrifying ones on anyone else. Most of my dreams can be laughed off, or are so inconclusive that they can't be reported on at all.

i had a nightmare once while i was wide awake. VERY wide awake. i can NOT reccomend it

Nightmares are terrible things. But if I'm in a dream where I'm dressed like a clown, and I sound funny, I just go with the flow.

when i was a kid i could be terrified long after waking up from a nightmare, but after the one when i was awake i can just shake them off me and go to back to sleep

nothing more to tell. as soon as i realize they are only nightmares they don't bother me any more

i usually have them because i'm lying in an awkward position or snoring my throat dry - and more often than not, both

When I was a little baby boy I wasn't clever enough to have dreams. Now I'm even worse. The doctor examined me closely, did some tests, said I was clearly suffering from feeble-mindedness and warned that when I grew up I might get mixed up in a nefarious club for ne'er do wells called Hootoo.

A very smart doctor.

The worst nightmare I ever had was caused by falling asleep in the same room as some Romanian flowers...some kind of lily...I was warned, but forgot...

I do not recommend this.

I soon forget the nightmares, but I remember the dreams for quite a while.

had a nightmare againsecond XP wipeout and reinstall this year as of yesterday

Then you can be grateful that it was just a nightmare, and not an actual computer breakdown, prof.
