h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I grew up in a small town that was inclined to throw the book at speeders. I dreamed that I was going one or two miles over the speed limit, and was thrown in jail. The "jail" was a cellar. I pried loose the overhead screen and climbed out and made my escape. I put on a clown suit and makeup, and stuck a huge bulbous nose on my face, which made my voice very nasal, but it fooled the police for a while. I needed money, though, and as soon as I used my ATM card, the police knew where I was, so I found myself in jail again. This time, I escaped even more quickly.

I raced toward Boston and took refuge in the home of a friend. The front door had a protruding glass face that bulged outward. It was broken or cracked in places, from being pushed at. Inside, my friend let me go through the cellar door, which led to a tunnel to
an amusement park/enchanted kingdom. I had to swim part of the way, because of the periodic floods that carried the funlovers' boats.

You are obviously feeling guilty about something.

It's what I *haven't* been up to that I feel guilty about. I can never seem to do enough.

Perhaps that explains the clown costume.

I absolutely felt like a clown at the time, Dmitri.

And taking refuge at my friend's house made sense because I wanted to escape to a fun place.

That makes sense. When seeking a disguise in a dream, I wouldn't think of clowns, because they make me sad.

Not too long ago, I had a dream in which the subway system in the city I was in had canals under it. Instead of riding, you could swim the distance. Maybe that was just a way of looking for more fun...
