short cut

Baggins ran in last night covered in bits of grass and scared
On examination he appeared to have his hair above his tail cut really short...what on earth?
Turns out he feel asleep in two doors up neighbour's garden and got slightly strimmed He was unharmed and just a bit shocked. That will teach him to move out of the way. He's had his tail in the vacuum pipe before because he wouldn't move.
I have a new vacuum cleaner..poor old Henry (the name of the vacuum cleaner)was struggling and I got back ache from trying to encourage him to suck up more cat hairs from the carpet. So I saw an upright one in a sale which was turbo charged for pet hairs and it was delivered yesterday.I got it all assembled and Nessie and I dubiously switched it on. Well it certainly sounded turbo charged and was quite scarey but the carpet was spotless after we finished
This morning however got up to find we had no electricity and neither did the neighbours . Two hours later it came back on,just as I decided I would risk a cold shower , rather than wait any longer. So I have only just caught up on the washing etc.
So all peaceful again chez Tabs... to all, have a good weekend

I fought and won

A lady from the local council has just been to see me and apologised profusely that they made a big cock up. I will get a letter from the head dude in a few days saying the same.
Apparently I was right and could have sued the pants off them
One up for the little person(well middle aged fat lady). The nasty man who was sending me the letters and emails will come back from holidays on Monday to find he is in big trouble. He should be sent on a training course on how to be polite to people.I offered to supervise his re-training but she politely declined
So I can relax again until the next disaster
to all, have a good day.

tales

Next door neighbour, mad jack,he of bathtub gin fame, decided to cut down the wilderness that is his back garden last night. An industrial petrol strimmer was produced and all the neighbours quickly shut their doors and hid under their respective kitchen tablesThis is obviously a yearly event and tin helmets etc come out.
The noise and smoke was deafening and polluting..the smell came through the closed door!
Nessie was despatched to peer out of her bedroom window and give progress reports. The garden was winning at one point and he stopped amid a cloud of smoke and flying weeds to survey his handiwork. However an hour later the garden was cut down ,much to the local cats disappointment as they all hunt in there. He left all the stuff just lying there though didn't take it away.
Peace reigned once more and the sun could be glimpsed through the departing cloud of smog
However this meant Baggins had to go further afield for his hunting. Oedipus and I were sitting waiting for him to come home(Nessie had gone to bed) at nearly midnight ,with the door open ,surrounded by daddy long legs and moths that thought we were attractive for some strange reason. He wandered in as if to say ..what's the problem? Why are you looking peeved.
This morning I've scrubbed the bathroom, put some new curtains rings on the shower curtain, washed the floor, washed the kitchen floor, done a load of washing, made a couple of important phone calls, put out the rubbish and now I am having a . I was up at 6am because Oedipus wanted to be out, so made good use of the time.
This afternoon I am having a rest
This being off on holiday lark is no joke..I work twice as hard
have a good afternoon everyone.

crunch time
Posted Aug 4, 2007
well I've done it...put in for another job.I don't want to but financially have no choice...or so the bank tells me.I've emailed my bosses to tell them in the hope that if they value me that much they'll give me more money. And if they don't it shows they aren't bothered so best to move on. The new job is nearly £10000 more a year and is the wage I should be on but I am employed term time only so only get 60% of a salary. It isn't a very nice job, at least it won't be with the lovely people I work with now, but at the end of the day I have to keep the roof over my head.
Old Oedipus was at deaths door yesterday, wouldn't eat or anything...then...this morning at 6am there was a purring in my ear. He wanted his breakfast and has since polished off the left over tuna fish that was in the fridge from yesterday(he wouldn't look at it yesterday)
Baggins caught a mouse yesterday and came back in the house licking his lips with mouse blood on his paws. Nessie was not pleased with him. He however was very happy
We have a new cat in the nieghbourhood,a young cat/kitten tabby and white who came to see the old boys the other night. He is a very cute boy, we've nicknamed him Claude. He is typical young cat all legs and tail and mischief. The old boys were not really amused.
to all. Have a good weekend.

Thank you
Posted Jul 28, 2007
to everyone for their birthday greetings. It was much appreciated .I had a nice if lazy day.
Unfortunately things have gone downhill since then and I have had to get in touch with my MP and may have to get a solicitor to sue my local council.
So nothing changes much here. Bad stuff keeps happening.
However onward and upward and all that.
to all have a good weekend and thank you again everyone, you made my day
