Hi Catwoman!

I agree about the being drunk / being near them thing. Always better to be on the inside looking out rather than the otherway round in this case! Nice to see some stated rules to pennying. Whilst the main ones stand there's endless drunken yelling over the more minor/unknown rules

Such as triple pennying (for when your friends are relly dumb)

hmmmm,
i think triple pennying just counts as a "second" double penny. so, as the glass gets handed to the double pennyer after the the initial double penny, any further pennying results in the glass being handed to the most recent pennyer. and so on ad infinitum.

Oh, okay (are you in here or do you have network in room? either way is pretty silly, huh?)
Hi Catwoman!
Dr Nick Posted Nov 29, 2002
I agree with Neilfish - if there is already a penny (or pennies) in the glass, whoever adds another penny has to down the glass. Are you two both in the same room but talking on here? That even beats my level of laziness - have started using MSN to say hi to people in the building. Too tired to get up and walk!

we were indeed in the same room- about 2 ft from each other. though there was a brick wall partition in between and so we couldn't see each other.
Hi Catwoman!
Dr Nick Posted Nov 29, 2002
Still, as laziness goes that is way up there! Lots of respect.

Yep, Caius students are at the top of the scale. Definitely. I was actually unaware of him being in the room, but that's cos I don't look around as I walk through computer room in dungeons (why are they all underground?).
Hi Catwoman!
Dr Nick Posted Nov 30, 2002
Mine's at the top of library. It's nice to look out onto Sidney's gardens (yes, I'm lying thru my teeth). I think Sid students may be trying to challenge you for the title of laziest students!

how exactly can they compete with using H2G2 to chat to each other whilst 2ft from one another?
Hi Catwoman!
Catwoman Posted Dec 1, 2002
I think we win.
Especially since we live, what, three doors down from each other? No, four. (it's on my way to the computer room)
So do you medics know each other?
Hi Catwoman!
neilfish, purveyor of the finest confusion since 1442 Posted Dec 1, 2002
i don't think so. as far as i remember i don't know ANYONE from sidney sainsburys. but i may be wrong.
Hi Catwoman!
Dr Nick Posted Dec 3, 2002
It's nice on the way back to rowing and you don't have a lecture for a couple of hours - pop in and pick up some breakfast
Hi Catwoman!
Catwoman Posted Dec 3, 2002
No lecture for a couple of hours? I always have lectures at 9 or 10 (except sundays, obv)
Hi Catwoman!
Dr Nick Posted Dec 4, 2002
It only happens very rarely - occassionally there won't be a 9 o'clock or when we had a reading (yeah right) morning.
